not to worry leon .. as tictoc63 rightly stated your contributions to the modding and gaming community is nothing short of legendary ... not just the hl2 and hl mods but the call of duty and soldier of fortune ... strangely enough i recently played your prey single player map ... that game took 10 years to develop and theres talk about a prey 2 .. imagine that
anyway take care leon .... and all the best for 2016 ... !

no problem leon ... take your time .. better getting it right now instead of loads of patches after .... if its a few days late then so be it ... cant wait though ! .. in the meantime i will go and play skyrim which i finally bought after all these years !

Good to hear things are slowly coming together ... you dont know how much im looking forward to the closure ....
what annoys me is how much of your work has been ruined by valve ... granted they own the franchise but surely they have to consider the modding community especially when it was them who included the hammer editor for pulic use !
my favourite mod "last project diary" could of been so much bigger but again valve come along with its axe and hammered (pardon the pun ) a large segment of the mod
anyway good luck for 2016 mate and happy new year !

Ive got to agree with the comments .. leon,s work is legendary and its his mods that got me not just into playing hl2 mods but also giving some mapping a go myself
what you also need to remember is how much leon as a person has gone through and he,s not held back the problems in his life which to me makes him a brave and honest man
the closure will no doubt be his best work,so with that in mind we need to be patient so leon can fine tune and polish out any problems ( if any ) ... and because of the sheer size of the mod ( and its development period ) there are parts of the mod that may look better than others ...
hopefully we will see "the closure" before xmas ... now that will be a nice xmas present wont it !

just finished your mod and by eck that was different .. i awarded you a play it now on PP and it would of been a personal favourite but some of the mod seemed a bit dis-jointed and could of been so much better with minimal work .. infact in some places removing some npc,s would of improved the mod ( such as the final fight )
textures were good and mostly better polished than many other mods ....
sound and music were ok but the final battle would of been better with a more appropriate music score .. again this would of required little if any extra work but would of made the finale much better
overall a excellent mod mate and i look forward to playing more of your work .... cheers

I must congratulate you sharing your most personal things with us... giving up any addiction is very hard .. I did a home rehab after 8 years of heavy drinking and ive been clean for 10 .. however 29 years of opiod addicion is heavy stuff and you will still have some work after rehab ... whatever you do you need to find a replacement to fill that void and I suppose the closure mod will help ( especially after the valve update )
anyway I wanted to say thankyou for all your previous work and best of luck for the future ( away from modding ) ... take it easy mate ..

this will be amazing .. as ive mentioned on planetphillip so many times your mods ( and maps ) are legendary and to be honest it was coastline to atmosphere that got me interested in hl2 mods
however "final project" is by far your best mod and in my opinion the best hl2 mod ever made .... the only thing i hate is how you lost so much work because of valve and their pesky updates .... if the update hadnt ruined the work how much longer would final project been ?
anyway i look forward to the release of "the closure" ... what about a demo ..( one level) come on leon . the waits killing me ( ha,ha )

ive just completed"Spherical Nightmares" for the second time... and you may ask why... well this is one of the best mods ive seen in a very long time ... and trust me when i say ive played a few ....
this compares to legendary mods such as "minerva" and leons"coastline to atmosphere" and "strider mountain" ... the only difference is this mod isnt as long as the others
so what makes this so special ? .. well :
1) the mapping and atmosphere are outstanding .... and the lighting is extremely good ..
2) some guys on other sites thought the firefights with the combine were repetetive.. however thats what makes a good game... personally i dont like mods were you explore for ages seeing little if any npc,s
3) the music was well placed.. however if i could be critical some user created music would of been nice ( or from other games )
4) the puzzles were good and were not too hard .. then again they were not too easy
i cant think of any bad parts to this mod... and im amazed how one guy can create such a masterpeice... i hope david is working on another mod .. this time however dont make us wait 5 years !
in summary a masterpeice .. pure and simple and a worthwhile addition to your steam game libary .... DOWNLOAD THIS MOD TODAY !

leon is in my opinion the best hl2 modder/mapper there is .... there many other great mappers such as miigga and adam foster however theres something about leons maps that set them apart from the rest
coastline to atmosphere is a amazing peice of work ... and i love the music .... however its the feel of the map that i like... you know when your playing one of leons maps
i beleive leons working on a new mod called "project omega" ... i cant wait

nice mod lads
downloaded in the morning and finished it at dinnertime..... however a excellent mod with some good level design.... the train sequence was awesome....and the mod gave us a good mixture of enviroments....
up to now ive played over 100 half life 2 mods and this is in the top ten so well done.....
however i would like to see more mods moving away from the actual half life story and surroundings.... how about a new story and even a new main lead... gordon deserves a holiday
excellent mod though.... very well done !

great mod .... this mixes some of the original half life with some of half life 2....and to great effect.....
i enjoyed it from start to finish,and will look forward to any sequels...

great mod... just finshed... parts of this mod look alot like the original fear pc game... however done in such a way that it works great in the game.... one of the best half life 2 mods i have played... well done...

excellent mod.... the street part of this mod actually reminds me of streets in northern ireland... except there were no zombies in ulster..

what a mod.. infact this should be a game.. a official half life 2 add-on...
i have played many pc games over the years.. some good,some abysmal and some amazing.. however "strider mountain" is simply awesome.. if i could give it 11 i would... everything is spot on
mapping ( done by the amazing leon brickman ).. and storyline are brilliant.. it was a joy to play this and i have actually completed it 4 times.. the first two encounters i forgot to pick up all portals however the last two times i played it i remembered
along with minerva and coastline to atmosphere "strider mountain" is one of the best mods i have ever played... it utelises the source engine to the max ... and is in my opinion a excellent example of how a mod should look and perform ... amazing... wow

good mod..i have played around 40 to 50 mods for hl2 and this is in the top 5...coastline to atmosphere is my favourite however this is a awesome mod..the mapping is as good as valve and the word "short but sweet" springs to mind....well done... 9/10
