I am actually having a really hard time with the incinerator room. I have the image of the Portal 2 room stuck in my head, the epicness when you fall down and first look up and see it.
Ofcourse i will, I am just using the workshop as a "beta test" platform. there are more than just the 3 maps up there now :)
I am actually planning not have glados just sit in the middle of a concrete room. I always thought the Portal finale was just so easy. I have tons of ideas, but gonna have try everything out to see what works best with players.
Diablo III is killing me atm, too :D

aaaaaaaaaand i am back to deja vu.
I can finally at least move my hand. I am not mapping at my fastest, but i am mapping. Yay!
pretty sure they will have their own touch to it in the final release. As of this project is on hold for a couple of weeks, since i disconnected and totally smashed my left ellbow last night. ill try to get some stuff done, but i wont be expecting a lot until i had surgery.
Also, please don't compare this to alive & kicking. They are a whole team working on it and they also took a whole different approach on the "remake". As of I am recreating it alone, all from memory and with my own touch of design. Even some puzzles are a little changed up :)
I took about 3 weeks for the first 17 chambers, but i do have a job and a wife, so i only mapped about 5 hours a night.
I just took a break from this, started with chamber 18 last night. I'll post some more BTS when i am done with it. I am not sure if it's going to be more portal or portal 2-ish , though.

Well i am not aiming for the difficulty, where you stand in a room for an hour untill you randomly find the solution, like tons of custom maps do it.
I am trying to add as many portable surfaces as possible, so it won't just be like the Portal 2 Campaign, where everything is pointed out.
Well thank you then, allthough this is nothing special. I just really loved how it looked :D

I said it before. It IS inspired by it. and there is also a "never lose hope hospital" - ambulance in the map. And we have permission by Hen7!
But if you don't like it i can change the textures in the 2 hallways :D
Like i said before, its only the bottom corridor (the spawn) that got inspired. ;)
It's cool you think of so much stuff but i think we've got enough weapons in mind (probably more than we can include).
I noticed that the population of underaged kids rose (probably just the mature people left) since all those stupid maps got released (deathrun, childish non-fitting maps). The underaged found them totally awesome and the more mature players were fed up with playing ZOMBIE MASTER on non-zombie maps?
