I have a problem. I forgot to give the mercenary rider a mount and when I wanted to come back and change him, there was no option to change the equipment. Do I have to wait for a timer to reset or is it a bug? Playing on the latest modDB version with the 1.4.3 patch

I've got a quest from Princess Birgitt, the one in which I have to go to a village and kill an outlaw. I found and spoke to him. He told me something in the lines of "Did my master send you?" and my character automatically replied with " No, i'm sorry to bother you, bye" (Or something like that) and i can't find a way to finish the quest.
