you can see that this is the second experiment, the first experiment was not succesfull, first dog just damaged fenders on this tank :D

Terrorist dogs failed, cuz Russians trained them on theyr own tanks, so in battlefield when released they didnt go on Germans, but instead on theyr own tanks :/
To say truth they were not so useless as you say. Of course it is rather brutally, but they were big annoyance for germans, coz they were very quickly, it was rather hard to kill them during their run, and they also run into enemy bunkers and blowed it.
The reason why using of them was stopped is that usage dogs for communication, scout and post purposes was more effective, and that was arleady not the beginnig of war, thousand of more effective measures for tank destruction were created :)
But of course fails when they ran to soviet tanks also took place :(
