Just a context question: do we know why the tracks are not on this BT-5? I know that the tank could be operated on its rubberized road wheels, but I don't know of a combat situation where that was actually used.

As always, great work, particularly in colorizing the soldier.

Well most likely the Nationalists trying to retrofit/fix it, at first I colorized the turret with Republican Spanish flag but another colorizer told me that Republican Spanish didn't put flags on their tanks, and that Nationalists painted the captured Soviet made equipment with their flag and that the turret tops of the captured tanks were also painted, usually white with a black x, for aerial recognition, so they won't get shot at by their own forces.

So scenario in short is that this captured BT-5 was being retrofitted/fixed for Nationalist service, tracks might have had battle damage.
