~ I wish you all good luck and have a Merry Christmas! ~
My favorite part about ModDB: There's a large, mature, and generally pretty friendly community, who are happy to help with issues that often arise with installing mods etc. It's hard to pin it on one particular quality when it comes to a "favorite", but since this is genuinely the reason I got involved in ModDB in the first place, it's the reason I'll stick to.
Favorite part about Christmas: Generally getting together with family and friends, and being able to relax in good company after a hard year's work. Again, quite hard to nail it down to one particular aspect, but at the end of it I think it's family that discerns the difference between Christmas and any other public holiday.
Merry Christmas to the rest of you fellas, (especially you Kark-Jocke, my goodness me) and may the best human bean win.
ModDB lets you expand the playability of games far beyond their original design, and enhance the experience.
Christmas brings on tons of sales to buy more video games.
1- the fact that it unifies most modding communities and gives them a proper place to show theri mods the way they want it to.
2- the only part i really love about christmas is the fact that i have a good excuse to have an awesome dinner with my family, which i love
1.When I used to play CS:source I found cool stuff here.
2.Gets giveaways and freebies cause of Christmas. There is no God !
My favorite part about ModDB are the modders; the sole purpose of the website. They have all done wonderful and awesome work that makes all the PC gamers happy. Many mods hosted here have such wonderful work that although I don't own/probably won't own the game, I still track it because it just looks amazing. Some mods may focus on visuals, some may focus on gameplay enhancing or even creating an overhaul, but the modders of ModDB know how to create a mod that catches the eyes of many. The work ethic of these modders are brilliant and the time they spend to make sure their modification is perfect. A lot of these modders have done things to games that renews/changes your experience; some of these mods even change the game so much it's like a whole new game. Modders of ModDB, keep doing what you're doing, have a Merry Christmas, and mod on! We're all eager to see you work for 2015 :D
Favorite part about Christmas is the all-around merriment everywhere. Everyone's happy, greeting each other politely, and celebrating. Woohoo, Christmas!
My favorite part of moddb is meeting people, everyone has been nice and I love making suggestions that become part of the mods, besides improving the mod, I feel proud to help out however I can.
My favorite part of Christmas is that i get tgether with my family and friends and celebrate it together and then have a special delicious meal with too many at the table, that's our tradition.
1. My favorite part of Moddb is making awesome groups such as what Kark-Jocke did for this as well as the people. I really enjoy chatting to people which later become friends, I have met so many great people who I talk to a lot like _W_ and Ori'verda. Moddb brings a whole gaming community together to discuss and download great mods.
2. Free Steam game. Really, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends for an awesome family get together.
1. Definitely the modders because they are many amazing mods on this website which isn’t on some other websites. Nexusmods is newer website but Moddb have much better track system and it’s my favorite I’m very happy that website like this exist because it’s amazing.
2. My favorite part about Christmas is when family meets together and we can relieve from work and have peace from all the problems and stress from everyday life.
Btw: Merry Christmas for everyone and a happy new year!
1.my favourite part of moddb must be the humor page because whenever i feel my down or anything i usually go there cheer up,also my friends are one of the best parts of moddb because i got in touch with so many different people from different cultures which is awesome.
2.well spending quality time with my family especially with my grandfather cause that guy is a well of wisdom and i could stand and listen to his stories all day long
Question1:ModDb,where tons of universes collide, that is what i like.So many stories of mods and games to explore and learn.People are creative here, and if not, they are good fellows to talk. For sure,i spend hours playing mods just because it's story. It's like to have parallel universes to a game, and you can visit them all.
Question2:As far Christmas sometimes is sad for me,because it's close to the Day that my depression started(it is 22 of december);i do like all the spiritual behind the date...i have much faith i religions(I am 49%Jewish ,49%Christian and 2%Pagan).I allways feel some connection with everything in the universe(like that Tree on the Avatar movie)
Merry Christmas fellows and i wish a good 2015 to everyone!!!
1. The best thing (at least for me) about ModDB is that I can follow multiple mods for various games. I don't need to look every day on tons of websites (if the mod even has one) to see if there's something new. I just go here and if there's something new it shows me, so it's great for keeping track of mods you're interested in.
2. The atmosphere. Family, gifts, food, even the weather.
1- I like fallow the mod makers and indie developers
2- Family, gifts and so many new games :D
1. That it is you who make this the competition.
2. You and your brothers come home and celebrate Christmas with me ...
Q1: What is your favorite part about: ModDB.com?
A. It usually has a very kind and welcoming audience and is very friendly to newcomers and even newbie projects unlike other community websites I have encountered such as Halomaps or Polycount where beginner projects are usually shunned and ridiculed instead of giving them proper advice to help them improve (Though recently, at least now Polycount has been trying to help newcomers or so I've seen). It is also a safe haven for die-hard fans whom some have really have very useful an innovated projects that can not benefit the companies of either the game they are modding, the game or IP in which it is based, or both, but also a good an easy way to grant them a job position from the affected companies.
Good example of this is the creator behind the award-winning Skyrim mod Falskaar: Gamespot.com
Q2: What is your favorite part about: Christmas?
A. For generations this is a very unique day - to my family and apparently numerous others throughout the West (especially in the United States). Aside from religion and the presents (who doesn't love presents nowadays), it is a day where supposedly everyone can relax and enjoy themselves, visit your relatives, spend time with your friends, lover, or family, even put aside differences with certain enemies (at least for the duration of the day). It is also a day where holiday sales and special events on numerous games and mods (mostly multiplayer) occur.
Finally, the fact that Kark-Jocke is hosting this contest really makes my day.
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
#1 What is your favorite part about: ModDB.com?
Well i first started lurking around ModDB when it was created, i believe it was 2005 or so, not sure. I didn't even register because i wasn't big on creating accounts, joining communities and stuff like that, i was a very shy person back then, even on the internet. So i simply lurked around following a few mods here, few mods there... But what ultimately made me make an account and stay on ModDB for this long is the community, without a doubt. Of course there are a lot of ******** even in here but there are tons of great people too, people like Kark-Jocke, Sakura Matou, Warb_Null, Geroenimo, =СРБ=Ori`verda, [TZP]LoNer1 and many many others, i could write for days, so sorry that i didn't mention all of you. Basically all of you are always helpful, always cheerful, and you always brighten my day in one way or another.
#2 What is your favorite part about: Christmas?
Well as my family is poor, we don't get gifts, food is decent, but that's not really important. The important things is when the bigger part of the family gathers once a year and have fun. I have a lot of family members, some are my age, some older, some younger, but we all live in different parts of the country, so there's simply no way for us to visit each other more often, the real life simply won't allow it. So when we gather once a year for Christmas(in my country it's on January 7th, not December 25th) and New Year celebrations, that's the best thing. I am personally an atheist but that doesn't stop me from "celebrating" Christmas in my own way and having tons of fun with family members.
Merry Christmas to everyone(even tho it's a bit late) :P
Thanks for the Kind words :)
Didnt see it was closed! My bad!
