Frankly, it doesn't help forms of bestiality is actually being ruled legal now from a recent case in Canada. The moral fabric has really collapsed for the western world. Need I mention on a scale that puts it on levels which would make Sodom and Gommorah blush.

As to the pastor mentioned, keep in mind many western churches now pick and choose what they like and don't like in scripture. That scripture I quoted is from Romans in the New Testament. This isn't just something found in old testament law.

I'm gonna go into overdrive here but I really feel this topic need to be addressed in full right now so we're absolutely, crystal clear on where the Bible and God stands on this.

----------------------------

Colossians 3:5
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.

Mark 7:21
For it is from within, out of a person's heart, that evil thoughts come-sexual immorality, theft, murder.

Ephesians 5:3
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-4
It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality. That each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable.

1 Corinthians 6:9
Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 7:1-5
Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

1 Corinthians 6:13
You say, "Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both." The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

Hebrews 13:4
Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

1 Corinthians 6:15
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never!

1 Corinthians 6:18-19
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.

Genesis 2:24
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Titus 2:1-6
But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled.

Ephesians 5:33
However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Also...

---------------------

Leviticus 18:22
You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.

---------------------

The Bible flat out calls homosexuality what it is, and even proceeds to support this in the new testament with the scriptures I have provided in this post today.

Do not be deceived by false teachers. If the Lord had enough nerve to have it called an abomination in the old testament, even up to 2000 years ago in the new still condemning it. Then it's quite obvious he never changed his stance on the matter.

Our God, is clearly against sexual immorality, including the acts of homosexuality.
That is within sound doctrine and undebatable.

So why would people ignore this teaching?

---------------------

2 Timothy 4:3-4
For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

---------------------

And that scripture, perfectly describes the disgrace that is the modern church...

its sad the church even supports the gay community, i am pretty sure the bible is quite clear on being gay. while it does not say we should slander gays and call them names and be rude, it does say a man shall not lie down with another man and vise versa a women should not lie down with another women. my prayers do go the shooting victims, but will i support there charity....that i simply will not do. As Joshua posted above the bible is quite clear on the matter and so is God and there for so should the church, but the church is laxed and is weakening to the times. the only thing we can do is pray, we pray for the shooting victims and there families, and we pray that homosexuals perhaps change there mind. if you are a supporter of gay rights. If someone who reads this is a gay rights supporter or gay them selves then you have maid your choice and i have made mine, i will not past judgement on you for that is the lords job not mine

Exactly as far as I remember the Bible basically says that it's not recommended but doesn't actually forbid it. Especially if you take what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 9 into consideration. Essentially I agree with you that while I won't support them; I certainly won't actively go out of my way to harm them.

That's a given and you're both right on the button there.

We are not to harm them, but if anything pray they make themselves right with the Lord someday soon. Bitterness and mistreatment of people who are sick with sin won't help them get better any faster. Leave judgement to the Lord.

As for not forbidden, I'd say the description in scripture of it is clear enough. It's unnatural and a result of desire unbridled. You can love someone without desiring a romantic relationship. You can love them as you would a brother or sister. But marriage is not to be defiled, nor is the union between a man and a woman.

Paul is right, we are free. But we willingly signed ourselves over to Christ when we choose to follow him. Which binds us as described in 1 Corinthians 6:18-19.

case and point its not tolerated and never will be for being gay is against God's laws. But regardless this violence must end for that is also against God's laws, Humanity must change or it will fall into a deep downward spiral that cannot be stopped, if we havent already gotten to that point.

Description

Odds are a good portion of you by now have heard about this shooting. As for it's details well shouldn't need to cover that.

Regardless what's been said. As Christians we are supposed to pray for people's betterment, not detriment. Especially in the face of tragedy. So while we do not approve of the lifestyle choices of these people we're still obliged to pray for their salvation and betterment.

But I want you all to take a moment and read Katie's comment. Once you're done with that, I want you to comprehend. That's the state of much of the Church in the U.S. right now.

What does God say about this?

Romans 1: 20-28

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient."
