Well, to be honest.
Best time to ever bring it up is if they ask you.
Likewise, if what they do really does get bad.
You may even consider telling them if they don't stop you won't be hanging around them anymore. There are people out there that are vile enough it's better to stay away from them altogether. Bible even has a saying on it.
Be careful who you hang around with.
Lest you become like them.
"You are who you hang out with."
