I remember reading in the Bible, that when there are those among you who aren't okay with doing something because they don't believe is morally acceptable you should respect it. I believe it was in the New Testament when Paul was speaking to the Church and Timothy. Things that ranged even to not eating food that had "unholy rituals" done on them.

If they were going to be picky about something as that than many of the other arguments that have happened here on this group just shouldn't have. Why bother having to fight over it? I mean, if you can't accept the fact that a vast majority of the church is not "ok" with homosexuality or abortion, than why bother talking with one who believes those things in the first place? Why argue with them? All you'll do is start a fight.

Compared to what people of the Old Testament believed, what we believe now isn't even a portion of how strict they were back then. Point here being, if you respect the brethren, you'll stop trying to make the church more like the world. No need to bicker about it.

Considering how long Ive been here odds are there are quite a few out there who have a bone to pick with me on this matter itself. Lets make this clear, I'm not perfect, neither are you. But this by no means excuses the fact of what happens or is done just for the sake of arguing. It's not good for Christians to fight among one another. But neither is it good for us to fall by the wayside in the doctrine. And this is something we may always have argument on, the doctrine. Because if you screw that up, than it really doesn't matter what you believe.

And morality + the doctirne, can and do go hand in hand with each other.
For certain, one thing we can do is our best to be respectful.

Love should make itself evident, even in our supposed disagreements.

Yes, indeed love is important. It is very important. Love like Christ should be shown in your life (which, honestly, is something I myself have some struggles with because of my own arrogance at times). The point still stands though that some Christians basically use the logic in the picture in an attempt to justify themselves. I'm not saying though to berate them for it, just tell them why you believe it is wrong according to the Bible and pray for them.
