Mostly true. I believe that same chapter in John makes it clear that only God can judge the heart. Humans are only capable of judging outward appearances. That being said, He has already given us the law. He has already passed judgement. It is our duty as Christians to warn people that we have all been found guilty of breaking the law and then tell them the good news that the judge has taken our sentence upon Himself.
