This group is exactly what the name implies. A group for people who are Christians. If you're a Christian then please join us. We're a place on ModDB for Christians to gather and talk. It's as simple as that.
I posted this because it shows at the time of an age where human beings had more faith in their own work than God. They honestly believed that the greatest technological marvel of it's day, the RMS Titanic, was unsinkable and that quote, "Not even God could sink this ship."
Such an age was shattered once the legendary vessel plunged into the bottom of the ocean deep of the North Atlantic on April 15th, 1912 at 2:20 A.M., taking well over a thousand and a half souls along with her. It made people awake and realize their own arrogance and how great it had become.
Such an era was I'm sure disappointing in the eyes of the Lord. I suppose this was also a way of punishment to the human race culturally, making them realize that there is no such thing as being self-made per say. Anything man made cannot overcome omnipotence, the one thing God has entirely.
But I still have no doubt in mind that there are still those out there that take their work as though God has nothing to do with it, nor have any amounting to it. How sad to realize such a thing since God deserves all the credit. Nonetheless, His will be done.
I read someplace it was a scheme by a multi millionaire of the time called Astor that sunk the Titanic on purpose , a business scheme , a Ponzi scheme , something like this , the mafia was strong in the times
Whomever sunk the Titanic sure counted on God in some way
I would still like a voyage on it but it only had one single voyage , ah well
