RA2 Tanya owns the other two. RA1 Tanya was just athletic, and RA3 one was just EA's version of hot.

1996 Tanya is the most militarized i believe , from the cutscenes seemed to be the best "Commando" of the 3. also when I saw her in a good quality cutscene (No lines and fairly detailed) she looks awesome.
2000 Tanya is also Great , in both militarization and looks (especially looks).
2008 Tanya ... no offence but she looks ugly in my honest opinion. and I can't judge her in terms of her supposed actual role (a commando) since I haven't played RA3.
My verdict 1996 Tanya is the winner ! followed by the sexy 2000 Tanya.
The year 2000 Tanya is the best. The 1996 Tanya come in second place. And the WORSE Tanya in ALL RA HISTORY is the 2008 one (she is the ugliest of all)
1996 and 2000 are better than 2008 since they look more like a military type of people. 2008, the EALA just wanted to date hot girls while making the game, what a fail :P

As most, RA2 AKA 2000 Tanya. 1996 Tanya had the most evil laugh^^ 2008 Tanya is as blonde as she is useless, she cannot fend off infantry fast enough is is WAY too weak agsint most stuff. RA2/YR Tanya had similar stats but alot more range.
hm... 2000 Tanya imho. I've played a lot of RA2, and wow, she can take on a lot more punishment than that 2008 "Tanya". I remember taking out squads of Rhino tanks with her+a few GIs :V. As for '96's Tanya, I really don't know. For my short time of playing RA, I guess she was good, but she was still too voulnerable to surprise attacks from "behind" the trees (when I think about it, the same thing goes for the TibDawn commando as well :\) So... yeah Functionality: 2000, 2008 (sorry, but she had that kewl belt ;o), '96.

Since I haven't played RA1 before...I'd go for the 2000 version. She's hot, but her looks mix well with her position as a commando. the 2008 that EA made...well, a blonde with big boobs wearing a tanktop isn't exactly shouting "I kill men like you!"
Definitely Kari Wuhrer aka Tanya 2000. Tanya 2008 is maybe EA people's attempt to finally get near what they consider a beautiful woman (what strange taste they have!)
