This is an image of a rare "flip cover" box art from Command & Conquer Red Alert II that was later removed after the 9-11 terrorist attacks due to the hauntingly familiar (and ironic) images showing explosions near the World Trade Center Buildings and a large transport plane that was also appearing to be flying towards the mid sections of the buildings.

"Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 is a real-time strategy game set in an alternate future."
It didn´t happened in a alternate future, but in a alternate past =P
Anyway, awesome box art.
RA2 was set in our time... about 2000y I think. So "an alternate future" is true.
<.< >.>
Wrong, RA2 is set in the alternative 1970s. Even if it looks weird. Ra3 is even set in an alternative 1960s. Also think about it, if RA2 was set in 2000 something, then Einstein would be around 130 years old (even if in RA2, he already is 100 years old.)
LOL I never spotted this thing!
actualy everyones wrong, scientifically speaking this moment right now is past, present, and future because in a second it'll be the past, its hte present now, and a second ago it was the future. So technically speaking the game being set in an alternate future is a correct statement.
Wrong, quantum mechanics handle the moment which is right now, neither the moment before nor the one which is yet to come. By your logic the year 0 would be the same present as the year 40000.
actually your wrong cause RA3 takes place in alternate 1950's. (lol)
what i'm saying is that year 0 is the past present and future because it's the past now before that year it was the future and in the year 0 it was the present.
And lol, am i supposed to believe some modder knows about Quantum mechanics and such? i'ts easier for me to believe that REd Alert is real and happened. If you do know that stuff then go get a high paying job and stop hanging around here to brag.
hey.. einstein was there becouse we call him back to the future with time machine..
i think red alert 3 takes place in the 80s in that universe.
I have a ra2 box with this cover, I never thought anything about it till now... wow.
Meh. RA2 owns RA3 with everything accept graphics. D:
Depends actually. Except a few things I think RA3 is the first CnC fully made by EA that is actually complete. Also it is alot more tactical than TW. Spamming does not work anymore (except for a few Russian units), and hard counters everywhere. No overpowered units either (yes TW Mammoth, I look at you -.-"). The only thing I miss is Yuri but whatever, the Empire pwns as well.
@BigCheese256
Which is not much to say... yeah the water is nice and all and the fact that RA3 is in 3D (in contrast to RA2 being 2D) but for the graphics, the advantages stop there for the most part.
EDIT: Or is that everything to say? Hmm... Looks like another paradox for Einstein to solve! XD
This also remembered me World In Conflict level in New York. When I saw WTC I was like ''My god...'' for minutes.

do you know that there's a RA2 mission involving WTC? you can garrison or even destroy it!
damn. I think there's a westwood guy who can see the future.
anyway, did anyone noticed the picture is flipped horizontally? look at the liberty.
who has kinda noticed the bottom of the city looks like its being flooded? :X
It does kinda... from a matter of perspective.
I like the review comments.
And how EA never get them. Ahah!
(RA2 was still before EA sacked the studio)
some people are ignorant, just bacause of a plane close to WTC, that doesnt mean that it has a subliminal messege.
not that - it's just that governments are paranoid.
red alert 1 set in 1947 to 1953 red alert 2 set in the 70s red alert 3 set in the 80s
