it's modeled to reference lol. what specifically are you talking about?
I used pictures from everywhere and even using the 3d view of the weapon in the game.
I'd say it's spot on, I think maybe he's actually confused because it was based on the M4 (I think, I may be wrong about that). The stock could probably be made smaller and shorter, same goes for the end of the rifle, and maybe make the ejection port a little bigger, not too much.
Other than that it has everything it should. It's a nice model. :)
uhhh....I know this sounds tedious probably since M4 came out of M16 (If I remembered correctly), but in Metal Gear Peace Walker the description of The Patriot clearly states that the gun was modified based on the M16 assault rifle. It was during the cold war, customized by The Boss (A legendary female soldier in MGS) in order to cut-weight on the M16 and make it more like a machine-pistol. I forgot the story but there was a specific reason why this weapon has unlimited ammo in the MGS games.
