I'm curious, what program do you render these in? I'd say that if this is all the effect you can get, maybe you should try rendering it in a different program, I think there are plenty free programs out there that you can use.
I have a build-in render (3 actually) in my 3d program, it's free so maybe you could use that instead.
I'm not complaining about your models, just the renders :P

Some of you say these renders suck, some of you say they are better than my other renders. Make up your mind please.
Its really up to you though. Since these are just preliminary renders, then it really doesn't matter as "ingame rendering" is what counts most.
Other than that its a good model, considering polycount and quality. :)
Thats why I don't complain on your recent renders.
I'm not saying it sucks, just saying that there are many ways to make a model look way more cool than it already looks, reflections usually do the trick, some smooth parts and shiny parts also look cool.
Well, that's just me anyway, since I'm more into design and not modeling for games, I suppose I better shut up :P
