It's a great start. You've got some funky normals there on the grip.

u have to change some things at the handle, its probably becuz u triangulated it, can be changed if u remove the edges there and then cut new ones to make it triangulated ;) Great model otherwise^^ very accurate

Thanks for the input, whats this about funky normals on the grip? it might just be how Wings3d renders or how i have the models polygons reacting to light. This render is not of the triangulated model, i posted the triangle count if it were going to be used for ingame(kind of odd i guess, haha).

I appreciate the positive feedback,
James

What we mean is those darkened triangles that show up on the sides of the grip. I'm assuming those are caused by using polygons with more than 3 sides in that section of the model. Those are causing the normals to point in odd directions and making the shading not smooth.

ahh... i see, the grip area has a ton of polys... the flat surface you see on the side where the dark triangles are showing is one polygon with many vertices... not sure how i can get rid of the error without messing up the model.

Cutting the polygon into smaller pieces ought to do it. Don't know what tool you're using, but you ought to be able to just create some edges connecting some of your extra vertices together.

Grips tend be the places that always collect weird n-gons if you're not careful, I usually have to go back and give them some love before I finish out modeling something.

I made the barrel longer and fixed the sights, it needs more work but its getting there. I'll upload a few more pics to my profile later.
