I dont know what its meant to actualy be apart from a pistol thing anyways it has 280 verticies and 286 faces.

Try setsmooth. It works wonders with smoothing. Also the grip would be uncomfortable. Try looking at some pics of real guns or better yet, actually look at some real guns.
