sure ill get some info up, but basically I box modeled the carrier, for the ocean i used maya fluids, also for the sky. You have to have maya unlimited to use fluids though.

yeah thats how i got into Maya too, my school didn't have the unlimited edition though so i bought the academic version to use. Although i still prefer 3ds max overall just seems like everything is easier to access in max.

yea, I totally understand I am more comfortable with Max in terms of modeling out my characters/geometry. I just had not have the chance to spend some time with Maya to play around with it and get use to the tools.You can create your own Marking Menus, Hotkeys and everything under the editors, its just breaking through that jargon barrier.

Description

This is a render from an animation I did for a class last spring of an aircraft carrier under attack during a storm at sea. The animation and rendering was done in Maya 8.5 Unlimited.
