I agree about the shoulder blades, they could use some work. References are always good to have around (I would actually say that they are a must have). You might want to also check the side view again - especially the back because it is really flat in this model. Again, any reference you can find will make a huge difference. Keep up the good work.

thanks a lot for the critisism, I believe i wont do much with this model, however it was my first sculpt in Zbrush, i have done a bit of "sketch sculpts" or what to say, less serious chest sculpts so to say in the past. I am aware of the back area being bad, as i know the anatomy for the chest and stomach better than for the back.

Right now iam trying on a face model, ill post it here later on.

Thanks a lot for the critisism

As far as using no references go, I would say this is a very decent go at a torso, certainly not the worst I've seen. I agree with the others about the shoulder blades, they come out as a bit odd.

Either way, it's still a good attempt without reference, and I'm sure you would do a much better job with reference, keep at it!

Description

this is my first real try at sculpting, made from a sphere in Zbrush, no references used so far, which might have been to my disadvantage.
Used Zbrush and a wacom tablet.
time spent: around 2-3 hours.
