Zombie Grinder is the debut game of TwinDrills, an indie game development duo made up of Tim 'Infini' Leonard and Jordan 'Jordizzle' Chewning. It's a multi-platform (windows, mac, Linux!) (also Free!) cooperative multiplayer arcade game, reminiscent in style and gameplay of retro games like 'Zombies Ate My Neighbors' and 'Super Smash TV!', but with the added benefit of some newer game mechanics - achievements, ranking, player-customization, rpg style stats and so forth. The game sports a variety of different game modes, from co-operative 'campaign' style levels, to wave maps and even the classic 'pvp' style game modes - deathmatch, capture the 'bag' and so forth. All of these mods are bristling with a variety of weapons and items, all lovingly displayed in Jordan's classic quirky pixel-art style.

I'm really thrilled with this game, so here I start a suggestion thread to regroup all the features the community wants to be added in future releases. I start with adding my suggestions. Still not sure on this one. We originally didn't want to overcomplicate the control scheme, and to keep the arcade'y feel. We didn't even have reloading for quite a long time. But I guess with the reloading system as it currently is it's somewhat necessary. I'll play with it/add it in the next build :3.
There is actually a very shitty interface for dedi-servers to see what happening on them. It's pretty awful though as we haven't really supported dedicated servers for quite a while. But with some of the latency/port-forwarding issues the game has brought up over the last few days it's something I'll be looking into . --

-Nulled my comment exploring SDK. Sorry. (I mentioned reloading earlier. After seeing stats are player defined, you could easily balance a need for reload by pumping stats into it. However I still think the tactical advantage it would give the players would be neat!) Edited by: Rubz |

Hi there I just want to ask, what do you think: - Dont let the player start connecting to an already full game if he hit join in a 4/4 server.. ( bonus question: i dont know, maybe just for me, but i think the reach vawe 10,20,30 achivement not working ?! ) ( another bonus question, because you r a wonderfull person, and you deserve it So i dont understand this part fully, but Thank you for your time, feel free to ignor me if i asked stupid things. correction: Ok,i think if i host a game its not visible already if i have closed NAT. so the last question is useless, but then: with closed nat, the Advertise checkbox is meaningless. |

The option is given because the game list is only updated every so often, what shows as 4/4 may have a space when your trying to join.
Rather fix the lag issues than reduce player counts lol. But I understand your point, I add a limit option later.
Huum, don't know about that. Trying to keep the game arcade'y style, dropping weapons and such just goes a bit beyond I think.
Fixed.
Closed NAT means people can't connect to your servers --

thank you for the fast answer Revarding that another 2 things what i discovered: - if i hit alt+255 in the loadout to the character name, then my name become nothing ( well a space character, rather then untiteled or something, i tested it and my name was nothing. And not to mention i can have a (infinite? ) long name, when i tested it my name cleared the whole chat when i typed something in |

Then people will kick you from the game . Rather not place artificial limits on the name lengths, prevents the use of bbcode to make pretty names :3. --

Hi there. I think shields and bandages on c1-s1 level in cementery have a drinking sound when picked up :/ And my personal favourite in developing games: changelog. Please, if there is a changelog already then sorry, and where it is? Or if its not, well, its only a few minutes to create one Keep up the good work ! And i think sticky gun should be stronger. And to be hartder to use, it should be affecting the player too. Oh and at the end of the credits, there are three jordan character. Its nice but should be different characters. Like the 4 different character in different poses or something. And a quesion: The FBI watching you achivement. What need to be done to get that ? ( Maybe a hint in the description for the other players like me who didnt figured it out ) While the game is loading, maybe a picture in the background ? |

i see, but come on I discovered another thing: - if below my character is a house i see my character leg in the top of the house, and if i kill a zombie there than his blood too. ( this was on the c1_s1 map) Another thing: When i found this game first i found the site: twindrills.com, and from there i wanted to go to the forums, but my avast antivirius didnt let me, because that site is dangeorus and omg leave while you can and stuff. Dindt let the page load. I had to turn it off just to see a message: the forum has moved to desura... |

What did it report it as? i cant send the avast report page because i cant send url's jet ( 7 days since my registration is limited) , and if i not insert as an url then its too long word and dont let me sand the message with over 100 characher words, if i chop the url into smaller pieces, it becomes a novel.. Well, i really really hope there will be a pause button, what stopps zompies... I reached vawe 67 on cliff alone, with 204000 money, i died on this vawe. Now i can barly move my fingers oh and achivement should go further than wave 30. and 50.000 money |

Yes the headshot system is pretty much cheating atm (headshot+2d= Doesn't work) . Going to change it in the next version I think so the probability of headshots are a lot lower, or they can still attack even without their head :3 --

Well ok, but than make the headless zombies die from 1 or 2 bullet. ( i personally prefer the less chance headshot ) of course its just a suggestion You do what you want Hi there - if somebody call a vote and then i join in, the game waiting for my vote too, but i cant vote. I can vote only if i was in there when the vote started. - when i saw i have no buttons for vote yes or no, i quit the server and set Y and N. Rejoined, and still not worked, hovever the game told me i can vote with Y or N. -Key bindings: multiple key for 1 action (like : UP: w or upkey) - Key bindings: mouse buttons. ( i know mouse wont work, but i can shoot better with mouse) |
