Get ready for a lethal dose of intense strategic combat, Redux will throw you into the Alien-Human war as a battlefield commander of either side. X-Com: TFTD Redux turns the classic X-Com 2: Terror From The Deep game into Real Time Strategy by using a new kind of 2D engine. Alien and X-Com factions will have their own singleplayer campaigns in this game. Development is still in the early stages and the custom engine is still unfinished. Check the forums for more information (official page link).

Why Real Time?
I don't want to bash TBS games, but sometimes they're utterly slow when having more than 2 players playing multiplayer matches (and it's nearly impossible to play with 3 or more players). RTS is the right choice for multiplayer matches with many players (like 2-18 or something) and it also allows player to think different fast strategies. This is a game for those who loves fast chess on steroids. :p
Game is good, only minus for it (in my opinion) is there is no windows xp version. It will be good to have that versio (then you don't need emulator or old PC).
RTS Xcom... I know some people who already hate you, though they don't know it yet. Heh.
Keep up the work! I loved the original game and i hope you can make a good remake.
Thanks! I hope we won't screw up this project... :D
The art looks wonderful! Looking forward to any type of release!
Keep up the excellent work mate. Need any Photoshop media? :P
I decided that the new renders will have better resolution (800x600). :)
It is sure that we'll use some kind of experience system to level/rank up infantry. However, it is still unsure if we're making infantry more individual, so you can arm them any way you like and their leveling up is very important -> micro-management, or we might drop individual of every infantry, so unit spamming could be a lot easier -> very large scale battles. It's mostly up to you, X-Com fans.
