What are the possibilities of Vector Thrust joining the Steam Trading Cards program, including backgrounds, emoticons, and badges as well as the eponymous trading cards? I'd be really grateful to finally have an aerial combat game on Steam with this system implemented. |

It'd ought to win a lot of players, Sly. -- "Too much fire gives birth to nothing." - Gol, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind |

Definitely a possibility to consider in the future, though our Early Access plans are focused more on actually finishing the game first. Emoticons- how would they work? :/ |

Maybe the girls from earlier reports could make a return? |

This. Maybe insignias or ace planes instead, but I wonder how many special squadrons in-game has its insignia shown. Edited by: Nergal01 -- anon wrote: 'anon' wrote: Now I shall use this 'Vector Thrust Threshold' to measure how awful your product is |

To clarify, I mentioned the VT girls as a response to the question on emoticons. It's the only thing that came to mind that would make sense, given that they're currently the only people we've seen. Emoticons. Faces. Emotions. Aircraft, or any vehicle type really, weapons, or squadron emblems would be perfect for trading cards. Edited by: SpootKnight |

I'll offer my moe-ass face for an emoticon. Just kidding, I think. |

If flag of nations of VT world can be made as Countryball/Polandball, then I'd happily vote it as emoticons. NepalRAWR says hi. Edited by: Nergal01 -- anon wrote: 'anon' wrote: Now I shall use this 'Vector Thrust Threshold' to measure how awful your product is |

Steam features a system where users can forge badges for their profile using trading cards. Only half of the trading cards for a game gets dropped by playing it. For example, if Vector Thrust had 10 Trading Cards, playing the game would get you 5 of them for free. (Some of them might be duplicates.) If I wanted to forge a badge for the game, I'd need to get all 10 unique cards. People can sell and buy trading cards on Steam's market (a percentage of each sale goes to Steam, and another percentage goes to you, TS), and people can also trade with their friends. When I get enough cards to forge the badge, all of the cards are removed from my inventory and I earn the Level 1 badge. Badges are typically allowed five levels. There's also a Foil Badge (only one level), which requires obtaining the rarer Foil Trading Cards. They're harder to drop, and, obviously, people sell them for more than the normal cards. Forging a badge will also give me a game-related background for my Steam profile and a game-related emoticon to use on Steam's forums and chat services. There can be as many backgrounds and emoticons as you want, and one or two can be rare while the rest can be common. The images for the badges, trading cards, backgrounds, and emoticons are all up to you. The trading card system is VERY popular in the Steam community, and will definitely boost your game's sales. Plus, you get a little extra sales from any of the trading cards, backgrounds, or emoticons being sold on the Steam market. It would definitely be something I'd suggest you look into. The gamers would love it, and you don't lose either. |

Depending on the size of the emoticons I'd rather see smileys wearing flight helmets and aviators |
