The official PRIDE OF WARDOGE tournament Thread - Vector Thrust

Welcome, Pilots, to the Pride of War---wait, that's redundant? Whatever. PoW (hehe) is VT's first ever tournament, founded privately by Me (Stinger), and KirbyADF, and conceptualized by the latter in a screenshots thread. And it all started with Cannon-Song saying something about Wardoge (i think). Anyway. What the tourney is, is simply a series of friendly competitive get-togethers, where we just strap ourselves in, take off, and have a good time. With rewards and ranking behind it all. And Corporate scumminess PoW involves a team layout for it's matches, with the following order:

Round one: 4 Groups of 4 pilots, duking it out in the skies against eachother. Each team's worst pilot must drop out, then the worst group in match will fold, splitting it's pilots off into the other 3. Battle wages for 15 minutes.
Round two: The same thing happens, but with 3 groups. Afteward, once again, the worst pilots drop out, then the worst group splits off. 10 minutes fight.
Round two-point-five(-dee): A knockout. The 3 second-to-worst pilots in each group duke it out in an FFA, and the worst pilot gets knocked out. The 2 remaining continue on to the split, as potential finalists. 5 minutes.
Round three: 2 groups of 4 duke it out for aerial supremacy. Then, afterward, the 2 worst pilots of each group drop out, then finally, the groups system folds entirely. 7 minutes fighting.
Round finale: 4 pilots fight an FFA in the skies, with a no-trust policy in place (possibly). Each pilot who makes it this far will be awarded the Emblem of Wardoge, and one other skin. And, he who wins will get a special skin of the 1337th Tactical Fighter Squadron itself, starting off at the F-14 tomcat for contest one, and maybe an exclusive wallpaper (nothing fancy, just a trophy of Wardoge and "You win! Thanks for participating!" printed on maybe). 7 minutes of fighting.

FIRST TOURNEY WILL INVOLVE OLD-ISH LATE COLD-WAR AIRCRAFT (1980's very roughly). This would include stuff like the MiG-29, Su-27, F-15C, F-16 Series, F-14 Meowcat, and really, anything that says something around "1980" in the Challenge menu. And also, I honestly do NOT care which variant of each family you use so long as it's, like, within.. 1966-1988, I guess.

THE VERY MOMENT YOU CHOOSE YOUR AIRCRAFT, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE ANY OTHER AIRCRAFT FOR THE REST OF THE TOURNEY. This does NOT include smaller events inbetween events; if you want to go to those, I don't even care, take what you want there. I hope that bit was obvious.

Extra: There are badges for accomplishments. For now, just one; if you get the most amount of kills total (not necessarilly the victor), you get a badge pertaining to your accomplishment, ace.
Rules for skins: You are, by no means, needed to take your skin reward if you don't want it, and thus, said skin will be handed over to the next best cantidate. If you do choose to accept it, the skin will then be in the possession of both you and the maker. If the painter in question allows it, you/they are allowed to put said skin up on the Addons section here.And, please note, if you feel generous, you ARE free to give the winner the skin's template/a blank template (depending on what you saved), or something else to note them as the victor. Do I look like I care what you send them?
Lastly, have fun. What good is a contest without fun? (Oh wait. Formula 1.)

So this is gonna be an actual tournament? When will it be approx. U.S. Eastern Standard Time, what day?

Yep, this is an actual tourney.

I'm not quite starting it yet. If we get to 16 players by November 21st, then it's started. If it's not quite there (12 players, maybe), there will be enough groups removed. Or, if it's not a multiple of 4 (so, 13), then.. if it's 1-2 people above the last group (13, for instance), the leftovers gets added to a group (or 2). If it's 3+ people, then a new group is made.

Well lets get the rules and foundations set first before making a fixed time, and its best to set in UTC time for ease of timekeeping.

If it's all right with you guys, could I enter? I've made a Youtube channel with the intention of doing vector thrust videos, I know I co-created this but could I participate and record it? Any prize place I may take will be given to the next in line(not that I probably will though).

I think I'll pass on the cancer and shitposting.
