Yesson, I can get those models and skins if you want to. Including those enemy planes.

Here's for the "preview" in 3DS Max .max format. Bonus includes Apalis ripped from ACJA and VF-25 ripped from Macross Ace Frontier. No textures though but I can provide one ASAP.

The following Heatseeker skins interest me. Can I get a screeny or two of them? (Preferably just top and belly screens, mostly.)

F-22 (2)
F-35A (2 and 3)
FA-18E (2)
MiG-27 (1)
MiG-31 (both)
MiG-144 (1 and 2)
Su-27 (2)
Su-47 (2)
Yak-141

Thanks!

ALL skins included except NPC planes (transports, etc). It's in the 1st post btw

Argh, disregard that. I misunderstood what do you want.

I'll take the screenshot in the next hours. Maybe only the plane selection screen since the emulation sorta either fcked up the graphics or make it too low-res.

update: Here you go, all plane selection pictures.

Correction: Looks like the F-35 is C variant. I was under impression that it supposedly *has* the built-in gun port but there isn't.

Nnot quite what I had in mind, but regardless, thanks a lot, buddy. Now I can at least figure out the mappings, which is key to making a decent skin.

After all, if you don't understand the skin you're recreating, what's the point?

That's why I put screenshots in my future uploads to let people know how the paint jobs looked like.

Well, maybe except for Ace Combat since most of them follow a quite "predictable" pattern (i.e rehash) and easily understandable mapping and AFDS because there are way too many planes.

And because AFDS is slightly predictable in their mapping.

It helps that they put ALL the detail on the top, none on the belly, too.

Lethal Skies is stupidly predictable, too! Literally, it feels like all of their planes are mapped EXACTLY THE SAME.

And then every plane that was from Lethal Skies that made it into LS2? Same exact mapping!

Here's ripped model of Ace Combat/ACJA fictional planes in .obj format. While the plane texture still loads up fine, the emblem/insignia is somehow messed up.
Dropbox.com

Example render of the Falken (3DS Max 2009). Note some details (rudder, COFFIN canopy) show up as black instead, and the insignia doesn't show up (it's still visible in normal viewports however)

Hang on, doesn't Blender export as .obj files?

Then why couldn't I open the files in it..?

Hang on, doesn't Blender export as .obj files?

Supposedly, by default. It's "Import>Wavefront .obj"
Here's proof, notice the texture's still pretty messed up.

Another "random" stuff, Fighting Thunder ME-2 (Raiden Mk-III?) from Raiden III/IV in .obj format (including textures).
Dropbox.com

Snaps, for some reason it always rotated 90 degrees when I export it to VT:

Technical spec:

FIGHTING THUNDER ME-2 (raiden III/IV)

Total length: 19.1m
Height: 7.25m
Wing area: 54.0m

Anyway, I'd just like a single extra Heatseeker thing.

Could you give me roundels/country logos and their respective country names, plz? I like recognizing what I see.

Thankz.

Oct 16 2014 Anchor

I can.

This is International Council (IC for short), a USAF\UN\Eagleland type of nation\alliance. Player side.

This is the Federatioh, a Russia\USSR\Reds with Rockets type of nation. The third roundel only appears on MiG-1.44 (I think it's Federation, because of colors)

This is Vertana, a "South American" dictatorship with ex-Fed equipment.

This is the Oligarchy of Kamcha, a "North Korea with nukes".

This is Smugglers, or mercenaries or whatever. The only time you see this roundel in the campaign it is on smugglers' MiG-27. While Su-47 and MiG-1.44 with this logo are both player-exclusive.

Not yet. I haven't getting there so far after all.

As for Heatseeker, maybe I'll rip NPC plane skins (helos, An-225, A-50, etc) once they're available in VT.

update: Wheee. (still has wrong orientation however, it's reversed)

Update4 : just ripped stuff from Rebel Raiders, plus I found that the early concept implies it originally has more realistic tone-ish with the character portraits are actually live-action instead of anime style as we know now. And apparently there's a Mirage-2000 and F-14 tucked somewhere in the game file, implication it's originally intended to have real jets instead?

Also, concept arts

Update 5: various ripped skins
Especially I'd like to request of this skin for F-14D

As for the F-16 variants.
AFTI seems it'd work well for the Machaira, so I will do that.
But, Stromlizard looks like it'd feel more at home on a SCAMP.. I'll be sure to do a double-edition, then.

Do not worry. All those requests will be done by me... or at least attempted. Sure woud help me figure out the mappings.

Semi/non-related: I managed to rip/import aircraft models from VT, maybe I can post here in TS allow me and case any of you modelers interested.

Might be useful for size references/comparison or whatnots.
