There's something I couldn't get out of my head once choppers and VTOLs were announced - that there would be some resemblance to the Strike games (Desert, Jungle, Urban, Soviet and Nuclear), minus the Choplifter rescue elements and overall micromanagement plus AC's uncanny supply in weapon loadouts.

So far, I've played Desert Strike (first on the SNES, then on Sega Genesis) and the PC version of Nuclear Strike, but I'd really like to check out the rest sometime [including Nuclear Strike].

What do you guys remember about this series?

Never touched it. Any gameplay videos you could come up with that would be a good example?

Looks like a nice little throwback - but it seems to lacks the winch/ladder to pick up MIA's, ammo crates, fuel drums, etc.

But if any of us were to try and recreate any of the Strike games' campaigns - we would have to try and implement stuff like transport loads and a deployable winch/ladder.

It's more mobile-oriented too.

Yeah, it seems more for phones and other mobile devices than PC's.

What do you remember about the Strike games, Nergal?
