I thought hell why not? Its good for both fans and the devs to see what everybody thinks of their art (yes, I consider games, art) so I've scoured the Electrosphere (the internet for you none-AC fans) for independent reviews/previews of Vector Thrust. Some may be out of date but like I said is good for the devs moral and can provide constructive criticism in times of hitting the wall. Feel free to post links to any reviews/previews you find out there.

Here are some links to the P's and the R's I'll add more when I find them;
Indiebase.net
Indiebase.net
Diygamer.com
Greenlitgaming.com
Forum.notebookreview.com

Also a little side note it appears Vector Thrust has been entered into Independent Games Festival 2013 ( Igf.com ) as a Main Competition Entrant.

Might need some update for this? Seems the Japanese blog hasn't updating VT reports anymore since 0.2150 either.

Update: looks like they skipped directly towards 0.2180 instead.

Apparently featured in a Hungary indie line-up video

Hey, author of the IndieBase articles here...
We've been super slack recently, myself in particular, so updates on the site have gone pretty cold.

I noticed the Head Editor went and changed the site layout so my pretty article has been broken. :(

Regardless, I think it's time to boot up Desura again and take another look at VT, I came away very impressed and it's a silly thing that I haven't purchased a personal copy yet! Time to go find the money.

EDIT: Actually, the official site layout is the same... Not sure how you managed to find the beta site lol.
EDIT 2: Oh, i just saw the date of the OP, you must have found it during a testing period. If you remove the /beta/ part of your links to IndieBase, you will get the pretty version of the site. :D

Stayed tuned over the next couple of days for an update... though it will be old news to all of you here. :P

I love that Railgun livery on the Su-47. I can't figure out how I even missed that the first time I read this IndieBase preview.

Glad you liked it, I wanted something to show off how any old scrub like me could make new liveries in a tiny time frame. :D
Sadly I lost the livery in a hard drive format, but I intend to hang around the community a bit more now so you'll probably see similar stuff out of me pretty soon!

As for missing the screenshots; if you viewed the article on the beta site, the gallery would not have worked. :)

Looks like someone tried to promote VT somewhere else but looks like nobody seems to like any game that isn't as hyperrealistic as DCS or ArmA 3. =\

Sorry, can't remember.

But once again since I saw quite plenty of people who like to bash any game that remotely hyperrealistic according to their opinion, it doesn't sounds too surprising IMHO.

The perfect balance between ultra-realistic and arcade graphics

Uh-huh, they'd better remove that line. Those hyperrealism purists could nuke us to stone age for that.

Sounds like they didn't even read the developer's description of the game.

Looks like their own version of the description is...a bit random.

Thanks V3000TT for noticing this, the next time I’ll talk with the marketing staff I’ll mention this, because this may mislead several players into false expectations.

I remember that when I talked to them I mentioned that it is an arcade game that tries to balance the arcade and realistic gameplay, but still staying in the arcade spectrum. But as the usual marketing speech, it apparently has already achieved the “perfect balance”, and this refers to graphics, but when I mentioned this, I was talking about gameplay.

Question: What was Iceberg doing when they were talking to you?

Times, speaking of graphics, what kind of look are you going for in the final product? Since you had mentioned that the graphics would get a thorough overhaul before final release.

I guess what I want to ask is whether you're going for a hand drawn look (stylized explosions, effects, etc.), or for something along the same lines as what we have been seeing already?

A flood of stuff™(!)
Gamasutra.com
Indiegamenews.com
Twinfinite.net
Reverbinc.com
Incgamers.com
Bluesnews.com
Pixeljudge.com
Dsogaming.com

Personally, I'd prefer smaller news sites to pick the news instead of bigger AAA sites.
Otherwise can't unsee how many people compare it to HAWX or DCS though.

The only Japanese coverage I can find of

I'm going to be curious which countries develop the biggest fan followings for this game. I'm guessing somewhere in eastern Europe because they always seem to like these obscure, cool pc games.
