Hello all,

I have some aircraft models which I have rendered in Google SketchUp, and I want to get them into Vector Thrust as mods.

Notes:
Aircraft is to real world dimensions (Around 20m in length). Multi vertex polys are used when applicable. Textures are not stored in a separate file, as with sketchup files, but painted individually. Includes some bitmap textures (such as the camoflouge texture).

Is there a way to import this model into 3dsMax? I currently don't have it, and I am a little tight on budget right now. I could get an earlier version for an acceptable price, but what versions of 3dsmax are compatible with ogre export and Vector Thrust? know I can import sketchup to Blender (Which is free, and can do animations/uv wrapping), but will that work for Vector Thrust?

Thanks

You could look into Milkshake 3D that has loads of 3rd party plugins that allow you to import and export different formats.

Can it render Vector Thrust animations and textures?

On another note, will GMAX work?

Pilotchicken you don’t need to use the 3dsMax, there are exporters for the google sketchup.

Here is the list of exporters:
