Where you post all those beautiful vistas and interesting map components you'd love to see in VT. (static structures like buildings can also count, though this is more aimed at landscapes) _____________________________________-

Canyons! Tunnels! On the serious note, since we're talking about a post-nuclear war world here, I'd like to see a post-war submerged city (i.e that sunken portion of Farbanti on AC4). Dogfighting high above a big city during night time is the most 'romantic' moment in any air combat game. If possible, make an ace squadron encounter there. Ace Combat-wise, I'm always fond of 'space center island' vistas like Comona and such. Also orbital elevator since I know szboudreau01 want it too >:3 Edited by: Nergal01 -- anon wrote: 'anon' wrote: Now I shall use this 'Vector Thrust Threshold' to measure how awful your product is |

A Nazca-like southamerican mesa would be a first in a game of this kind. Especially if it has the altitude for it . A supervolcano caldera might be interesting too; add hot springs to the list, submerged city ( I approve Nergal01's idea ), A border area between two countries that holds a stark contrast ( IIRC, the border between Canada and the US bears a striking difference between both sides, but there's worse: North / South Korea, and so on... ). The Irazù mountainrange is also something unique. |

On a more serious note, we need bays. Think , but with more interesting landscape. Canyons and huge caves might help. Edited by: szboudreau01 |

Kinda off topic I think but kinda related. How about LEO/HEO/GEO space environments with large quantities space junk from bootstrap space development, meteor showers, small asteroids and rogue kill sats with a stunning vista of the world VT takes place in? -- Noli Timere Messorem

Since I played too much Strike Commander lately: Grand Canyon-style canyon. Maybe plus tons of 'tunnel entries' you can fly inside as enterances to an underground secret base. I don't know, off the top of my head, of any really big arches to name off the top of my head near the grand canyon, but spider web arches and those sorts of formations are neat: Cdn.c.photoshelter.com Edited by: Boogie_Van -- Swing-Wing Crazy |

Probably somewhere in the Southwest US, carved by wind erosion. To be honest, though it's impressive, I don't think that wind erosion works on the scale needed to make these features large enough to be fly-through-able. Then again, I proposed the Karst formations because tunnels, knowing full well that most of them are only a few meters wide. |

I know I've seen one or two fairly large arches, but those like what I've linked are just a few meters. Much more simplistic ones, I believe, can be quite big. Something other neat stuff pulled straight from google: In the realm of other neat geographical stuff that's google worthy, check out natural bridges, they're generally large enough to fit a jet through and pretty damn cool looking. Hm, I remember ACX have similar kind of naval base. Bonus point for guessing how *big* the explosion is when you put a single missile into the cave's mouth. I like the sound of that. Way better than just another slavic military dictatorship. I'd like to see a country where the government is trying to bring back a long-dead pagan religion, like the Nazis tried to do. |

Imagine this: an abandoned airbase formerly owned by a certain superpower nation, filled with thousands and thousands of still functional planes and spare-parts, and now it's either become one hell of (pick one) a black market/mercenary stronghold/raiders/terrorist camp. -- anon wrote: 'anon' wrote: Now I shall use this 'Vector Thrust Threshold' to measure how awful your product is |
