I rather enjoy the campaign missions, but by their nature they won't allow the use of all aircraft without modifying the campaign files, something many players won't be willing or able to do, whilst the current campaign layout restricts the player in terms of repeating missions.

So how about this for an idea: Whenever a campaign is completed, those missions become available as battle scenarios. It allows for two things - firstly, it lets players jump straight into a campaign mission with their challenge-unlocked or user-created aircraft, which would easily allow players to fly their favourite planes without worrying about making changes to files they may not even understand. Heck, there could even be an achievements for it. More pointless trophies, hurrah!

Secondly it would allow campaign missions to have their difficulty elevated, or to increase the number of target and optional enemies without having to introduce multiple variations of a single campaign and by extension adding needless repetition to those who want to do a campaign mission with added difficulty.

I don't know if you intend to add this as a feature already but from what I could scrounge there isn't anything like this planned and I think it would add a large amount of re-playability to an already varied game.

****EDIT****

So earlier today I copied over the first mission of the Restless Bonds campaign into the challenge mode folder. The mission lacked a description, objective and a picture but otherwise worked perfectly. It even kept track of my scores. It means that, at the very minimum, it should be possible to simply copy-paste campaign missions into the challenge folder. Either way, I still think that my suggestion might still have merit - the mission was no harder than my campaign play through so those seeking an extended challenge are still very much on their own.

As a side-note, it might be a good idea to implement some form of folder architecture within the battle scenario menu - I can see people with many challenges having problems with the current single drop-down menu post-release.

For extra, I'd like to see if custom BGM can be selectable in such battle scenarios as well. Plus no enemy "Free Flight" difficulty just like every other Ace Combat.
