I remember the so-called "action/F12 camera", where the camera automatically focuses to one part of action happening on the battlefield (whether it's you, NPC plane, or even tanks blowing each other) was one of European Air War's selling point. Since it's *technically* made by the same guy, Strike Fighters/Wings Over also inherited this feature.

I think a normal "spectator camera" can be modified to mimic this kind of feature (by simply snapping the camera to any object that shot/get shot at?), plus I think it would be an essential part for replay mode.

We have this camera set up in debug mode.

Any chance it'll be implemented into actual feature?

On the same topic, what about Missile Cam from the previous Ace Combat games?

Missile cam plz! I can't tell you how much I both enjoyed and hated this feature in replay, if only because it invariably chose to follow the missiles that missed, while the other one actually destroys the target.

On a slightly tangential note though, would it be possible to have that ribbon-ey simplified graphics replay that you got with AC mission debrief? I found that they were usually a lot more interesting to watch than the normal replays, if only because it gave you a really good sense of how units moved in the game. I'm sure it'd be more of a challenge than it would actually be worth, but I think it would also be a nice addition for teaching new players. You could take the recorded fights of better players and compare their flight styles against your own, instead of being confused as to how they are always suddenly behind you.

Well, good to know what the mode would be called, since it'd be a pain to call it by an embarrassingly vague description every time I needed to talk about it.

It was quite a common feature for most late-90's simulators (Falcon 4.0, F-22 ADF/Total Air war).
