Stellaris
Real Time StrategyExplore a vast galaxy full of wonder! Paradox Development Studio, makers of the Crusader Kings and Europa Universalis series presents Stellaris, an evolution...
It is the year 2034. You are on the lush planet of Akaifa, half way across the galaxy.
You are a member of a modern incarnation of a secret society known as the Queen's Filchers, a sect of specialist thieves which dates from the late Renaissance.
Through a series of bizarre circumstances, the modern Queen's Filchers became wannabe space pirates in the mid 1990s during the secret expansion of humanity across the solar system, operating from a base on Mars. They would usually steal raw materials from mining ships and illegally sell them back on earth.
When a huge alien attack in the mid 2000s drove the newly space-faring humanity into the largest secret war in history, the Queen's Filchers were forced to flee the solar system into unknown space aboard their last surviving and heavily damaged star-carrier, the Remus.
After 10 years of desperate searching, they discovered a brand new habitable world called Akaifa and colonised it.
Little did they realise that lurking deep beneath the surface of this world was an alien civilisation named the Werna.
15 years after the initial settlement, in a quick and deadly strike, the Werna drove most of the Queen's Filchers off Akaifa and into orbit. They then constructed an impenetrable planetary defence grid to keep them away. Many humans were left behind and were subsequently butchered or enslaved.
For the next 3 years, under the fanatical direction of General Allman, the Queen's Filchers amassed a colossal war-fleet in orbit, preparing for any chance to retake the planet. This fleet was much larger than any that had come before it.
Eventually, the human resistance on Akaifa managed to disable the defence grid and the fleet invaded the entire planet within the space of a single minute.
This time, it was the Werna who were pushed back. They were driven deep below the planet's surface by a tide of Queen's Filchers Military forces that fought so viciously and inflicted such casualties against the Werna that their losses were absolutely staggering by any standard.
The Werna were almost completely exterminated, resulting in by far the largest genocide in all of history.
With such blood on their hands, the Queen's Filchers soon fell apart from the sheer shock and fought each other in a chaotic civil war.
A colonel in the military named Colin Ramsay proceeded to mutiny against General Allman and take control of the Queen's Filchers fleet. He renamed it the 'Akaifan Century Fleet'. He then attempted to quell the violence and restore human hegemony over the planet, with you right at his side.
Little did you realise what he really had in mind for Akaifa....

How's development going? Things going well? (:
Still going on, although I'm also working on a heap of other games too. It would be nice to concentrate on this and get it done. I will get there.
Found this, following this :)
Thank you! Also FYI, this is definitely still in development. I'm working on it every day.
Looks interesting but the level design looks like it needs a lot of work.
Level design is in its infancy. Most work so far has been in programming
Cheers man!
Probably not the end of the series...
Instantly followed. Already had the biggest blast from QF 1 & 2.
I wonder if this will be the end of the series, though... unmatched storyline and playability in anything I've played in a long time.
I'll be waiting anxiously for your release date ;)!
