Multiman heroes gain quadruple XP from everything BUT can only ever be played in multiplayer.

Normally, as Warlords Battlecry can take a long time to play, players may not ever get to level up or explore their hero during their multiplayer games.

Multiman mode was created to satisfy these time constraints and allow players to explore the game more in multiplayer even if they're restricted to just a couple games.

I have a question, do the Various Man-modes be hardcoded, or they can easily added in game?

Maybe also a Leadman mode could be created: no xp from allied units actions but increased xp gain for what the hero does by himself (destruction of units and buildings, ect) and no other differences from Normal mode. What would you say?

I'm afraid all warrior/combat heroes would prefer to choose that over other modes, as it greatly advantages them. This would create unbalanced multiplayer matches, while also discouraging other types of heroes. Such effects are unwanted in TPC.

Then maybe heroes in Leadman mode could also get xp for producing units (benefit merchants ) and casting spells (benefit spellcasters) to balance the mode.

The Idea of Leadman mode is to give the players an encouragement to learn more about all the possibilities of heroes and master them and have a great fun, of course. Though for me it is also important that my hero would gain xp if it actually deserves it: gaining xp award for hero actions and not gaining anything for something what the others (army or allies) did.

Yes, but as Patrick already stated, it would just enforce the playing of warrior type builds, which already are the most powerful in the game (huge hp pool, attack speed and damage at high levels, they outperform Titans on a good race and build by lvl 27-30).

I've already suggested how to balance it. Just need to make xp bonus for spellcasting (and maybe for producing or resource gaining? ) higher than for killing (and maybe could be less xp difference between unit killing and building razing) in the mode. I understand that balancing Leadman mode would be really hard but I'm definitely sure that this can be balanced somehow (by the version 1.00) anyway.

And you're right about that warior like heroes are unbalanced, but they are unbalanced in any mode. Balancing the wariors should be a priority and this would help to balance Leadman mode too.

I was in a hurry: here should be warrior instead of 'warior'. Also sorry for my bad English, English is not my native language.

Also Storyman mode could be implemented: Storyman heroes could be played in campaign: protectors mod's and wbc 3 original campaign which is available in custom campaign section, only. No skirmish and no multiplayer; heroes playable in a similar way of chapter heroes but would gain somekind of bonuses for it. This would encourage players to explore campaigns, and get acquainted with warlords original and protectors mod ingame story. Also the mode would not allow heroes to gain items and xp in story wise unfair way via custom skirmish and online maps, so the players would feel a better connection with the story. What would you say?

Seems a little bit restrictive to me. If the player wishes to play just the stories (no skirmish) he will do so, if not, he will not. Then again, this just reminded me of wbc1 hero system, where you had to first finish the campaign to be able to use that hero in skirmishes and multiplayer. Maybe a revival of that mode is in order then? Some kind of bonus will be needed though.

Sadly I'm only familiar with wbc 3 and some of its mods so I cannot say anything about wbc 1. Still from what you say I believe that revival of that mode might be a good alternative of my idea. As for bonuses: maybe extra locations, extra missions or extra campaign only items could be implemented; or maybe simply give the hero extra starting xp (and levels) to give players easier start.

Just thought of non-related idea:
Maybe all heroes in campaigns could start from location ruled by their race. Also maybe weak starting items could be implemented (dependent on hero's race and his type: fighter, supporter, magician). And finally maybe each race could get a special non-starting location unlocked for them from the start of campaign and hero could only obtain other races' special locations as a reward for winning the campaign and won locations could only be used by the hero who won.

the first part is going to happen sometime in the future as a tears of dawn remake (the wbc1 campaign, best of the series no doubt - at least because you have choices inside a true story with drama and revolution).

The second part already happens in the little bit of the protectors campaign.

What about a revival of WBC2 campaign too? Dunno about WBC1, but I played 2 and liked a lot the choice of Etheria's territories to attack, each with its bonus to carry on

also planed, but only for 0.9+ (requires a lot of work, while wbc1's is mostly external files and editor stuff - and it is taking 1 and a half year to recreate already). These things are slow and require some time to adapt and test before going to public.
