can we still get the range upgrades for the ssrathi Shaman? It waas their only artillery unit.
Absolutely, yes, but since 0.8.5 their range was fixed (they are crazy in vanilla) and with basilisks and such units, the Ssrathi are a great race to play with and against.
And as the smithy upgrades, some races will have more magic researches than others (Dark Elves are a mage-race, so this was also done to fit lore better)
These researches were also re-balanced.
