In 1986, the world's worst nuclear disaster occurred at the Chernobyl power station. Soviet authorities established a 30km 'Exclusion Zone' around this nuclear wasteland, but in 2006 a second explosion rocked the stricken reactor, obliterating all living things and causing the Zone's boundaries to ripple outwards. From this epicenter came waves of mutated creatures, deadly radiation, and a strange, anomalous energy. The Zone was cordoned off by the military, who would shoot on sight anyone foolish enough to brave the horrors within.

Additions: If you join "Duty", you can keep your weapons and equipment with you if you want to enter the bar later. If you continue as a Loner, you will always have to leave your stuff at the entrance, at Zhorik. During my first run of the game, I played as a Loner, so I first wrote that you always have to drop things off at the bar. But as far as I know, there is no disadvantage at all if you join Duty directly.


At the end of the mod, there is a mission from Bormann, which I probably didn't translate thoroughly and optimally. You get a soldier suit from him and have to put all weapons and ammo next to him in the box. Only then can you go to the City Hall. I don't want to reveal too much here, but it's an camouflage and mislead - operation.


I've hidden some extra notes here and there in the mod. But still you will sometimes guess: Where exactly should I search? Who should I look for? And why at all? I've played through the mod completely and can certainly help you if you get stuck somewhere. In general, the mod was structured by the author zaurus in a way that not exactly everything is prescribed and displayed. You are not a member of the "Search Group" for nothing. :)

Hello, bro. No, it's not a bug. You go to the fork, try to avoid fights as much as possible. When the signal comes from the quest, try to get out of there as soon as possible and go back to the bar without stopping. You don't need to go to Lukash. Just straight ahead to the bar. Hello. No, this is not usable, it is just an additional information. The transition from X10 to the dead city is later a quest of its own. There you sneak to a certain point in the x10, put all your weapons back into your inventory and make sure that you are not seen. Then you have to wait about 2 minutes (seems to be forever ^^) until a message appears and then you hurry to the door and slip through the spatial anomaly into the dead city.

Very nice. That's great. You have to talk to Bormann at the school and he tells you something about a suit. You have a Berril m5 armored suit in your inventory after the conversation and you have to put it on now. And temporarily put your weapons back to your inventory. You go unarmed and "camouflaged" to the main building. There you have to find Nummer X and then there are new tasks.


Unfortunately I didn't translate that well enough because the Russian source text was quite misleading. (In the russian forums there were also a lot of questions about how to get there)

This task has several possible solutions. If you can't find the flash drive, go to Besiak and get an imitation. Or you can find it in a building entrance under the stairs... Then you either bring it to Besiak and go back to number X with a plagiarism, or you go back to number X with the real flash drive. But as far as I know, the result will always be the same and you'll soon meet a familiar face... :D

I am in X10 waiting on the door to Dead City with weapons in backpack. Hiding out of sight. Have replayed this X10 mission several times but it keeps saying mission failed the second these guys spawn in the room and the game ends. Goes to credits screen. I tried waiting on the catwalk where the marker was, on the ground, even down the shaft to make sure I am not seen. How to fix this?

It works (normally) like this: wait at the marked point on the upper floor. Weapons out of your hand, flashlight off and do not move until the message comes that you should go down to the door. It takes about 1-2 minutes. Do not move! I was making myself a cup of coffee until the PDA signal came through.

I hope that works for you. If it doesn't, please send me a save-game. Then maybe I can tell you where the problem is caused or I will finish the save-game until dead city. It's just the door between you and dead city...

This is probably one of the parts I didn't describe adequately. But in the original it was only briefly described and not explained in detail, too. I have been digging through a russian forum to find out what exactly has to be done there...

Do you mean the Philosophy Mod or the Apocalipsis & Dead Autumn Mod?

I found a hotfix for Apocalipsis, but I can't tell you if it helps you with the problem: Yadi.sk

Caution, the hotfix replaces the dialog file and everything is back to Russian afterwards. So you have to replace "gamedata\config\text\rus\stable_hil_dialogs.xml" with the same file from the translation patch again.

In general this is a bug in the all.spawn file and can hardly be fixed, because you often don't know exactly which NPC or item it actually is related to. This affects many mods and mostly occurs when something is to be spawned in the wrong order. For example, the game tries to spawn an NPC, but a certain item is missing, which is needed for this script.

Do you have any unfinished task? Maybe that's it. I'm sorry I can't really help you with that. But if you want, you can send me a save game and I will take a close look at it.

The problem is happening in Apocalipsis & Dead Autumn Mod. Thank you for the hotfix. I have the tools to compare the files to see what is changed in the hotfix files. Unless it is just dialog text, then it won't single it out between two languages. There are sound errors related to a weapon also so maybe it is a weapon bone of that weapon in Army Warehouses. The only time I have seen this error is if a weapon with no bone for silencer or grenade launcher has it marked as 1 in the ltx file. Though it could be something else in which case I doubt I will find it. If I can't track it down I'll start a new game. Since I do not see any talk about this issue in the Russian forums. Thanks so much for the help.

Aha, the hotfix changes a weapon spawn script so this might do the trick. It was trying to spawn a Colt 1911 instead of a Mauser. Under what says function get_mauzer(npc, actor)

I installed the hotfix and edited the existing english txt file. That did not fix the problem. Still have the CTD. But that spawn error that is now changed is still saved as it was before in the existing all.spawn so new game start needed to test it.

Hello. Yes, unfortunately you always have to start a new game when you edit the all.spawn file to make the change active. I hope that the problem is gone on your next try. I think it has something to do with merging several mods. This very often brings similar problems. I played the "Apocalipsis" mod without any extras and luckily I had no such bug. Still CTD at trans from Bar to AW. Same wrong fixed bone error. I should mention there are other problems with that version of Apocalipsis. The intro crashes the game so I use -nointro. Then it crashed twice because the new weapons folders are strange. Both folder names are in no human language. I suspect they where named in Russian in error and they are now displaying as a mess. I had to change the names from what they where to the scribbled name in the error logs. I changed Новое_оружие to Íîâîå_îðóæèå and Новые_патроны to Íîâûå_ïàòðîíû. That made the game run.

Actually I just found the error. It was in gamedata/config/weapons/new.ltx

#include "new\Íîâîå_îðóæèå\new_weapons.ltx"
#include "new\Íîâûå_ïàòðîíû\new_ammo.ltx"

It could say picklesandwich1, picklesandwich2 as long as the folders are also called picklesandwich. That would be better than scribble.

Yeah, I know this bug from many Russian mods. But I think it is generally due to the operating system and its language. My layout is german and so there are often problems with cyrillic files. But you already described correctly that renaming helps. I rather recommend to play the raw "Apocalipsis". The original version was very stable for me. If you're interested, I can upload it again as standalone, but then only with the machine translation of TKGP.

That would be great. I can fix up the translation. Would be much easier than trying to remove this weapon mod, then not knowing if that will fix the Autumn one. I am 99% finished translating Demosfen 1.04 so I can fix that one up no problem. Have the tools to do it.

I had packed the data with the latest winrar version and checked it again afterwards. And everything worked fine. I don't know what kind of error it is. But it should work without conflicts, if you use winrar or 7zip.

Bonjour. Vous allez directement de la centrale nucléaire à la dead city? Parce que c'est là que le jeu se fige, mais je ne sais pas pourquoi. Ça devrait marcher si tu retournes à Yantar et de là au labo x-10 de Radar. Il y a la transition vers la dead city.

Merci beaucoup. Joyeux Noël à vous aussi, si vous le célébrez. Je t'ai fait un jeu de sauvegarde pour Dead City. Le jeu s'est écrasé parce qu'il était trop tôt pour aller à Dead City. Il manque certaines tâches avant.

Je vous recommande de jouer au CNPP avec votre propre save game, sinon vous manquerez plus d'une heure de jeu, d'informations importantes et de quelques tâches.

Voici une petite instruction :
1. Allez au CNPP1 chez le Lt Chernenko alias "Pinochet" et parlez-lui. Tu n'as pas besoin d'aller à CNPP2 !

2. Retourner à Yantar et parler aux scientifiques. Ils vous donneront une tâche pour le tunnel de sortie du laboratoire x-16.

3. De Yantar allez directement au Cordon et achetez une Hazmat Suit x3 de Nimble. Avec cela, vous allez au Agroprom Underground à la recherche de Lenka Razor. Quand vous l'aurez trouvé, retournez au bar voir le colonel Panzer. Il vous dira comment aller à la Dead City.

4. Dans les army warehouses, passez par Lukash et prenez une récompense. Ensuite, vous vous rendez au laboratoire X-10 et attendez au marqueur pendant environ 2 minutes jusqu'à ce que les harceleurs se présentent et ouvrent la porte. Ensuite, vous les poursuivez rapidement et vous êtes dans la Dead City. :)
