Solitude (Working Title) is a PSP and PC game using a heavily modified Quake engine, expanding upon the story of Halo: Combat Evolved. it looks pretty cool, other than the texture that looks like it's made by a 5 year old with mediocre paint skills... make the suit scuffed and scratched, more flat green instead of shiny *** asian ****.
helmet is perfect
body needs a little more detail

I'd love to see the same 5 year old kids that have access to paint as you.
Because we make our Textures from scratch and not rip them out of existing games, it actually takes some skill to make. Alot of skill.
The colours can easily be changed, the real texture is grey. Xalener actually knows what he's doing, he can easily change the details. The final product, ingame is going to look great. Especially since we got new animations.

just use your paint skills. you guys have hlds or some ****, thought it was the best thing in the world, but you cant put a few scratches on a suit because mspaint cant zoom? sorry bro, and samuk idk what you're referring to, i'm not in the position to rip any textures from anything, considering i'm not involved with any project, and all the textures i have created have been completely original, i understand how your primitive childish english mind can disregard basic facts and knowledge, just drink your tea before you try to insult me next time.

Why creating a new one? Many people seems to prefer the old one, the old one was pretty well done in my opinion and has better quality (textures) than this new Spartan.

Yes, the old texture is infact, worse then our new one. So were the proportions of the model (look at the lower body and head). Thanks for your feedback, it's a shame you don't like the new model.
Its not I dont like it, as I said (third time) I really like the new one.
Well its diferent from the old one but i cant say its better.
Never thought about using both? Like when playing multiplayer you can choose between those 2 Spartans?

I like the new model and all the detail put into it. The only thing I do not like is the back. It looks like a jetpack in my opinion.
I like the old one more because of the model, and of the skin, yeah those black parts are ugly but why didn't you guys just put some *rubber/latex* parts on it what you guys just did to the new texture? the new model is well its not as great as the old one, i'm not flaming you guys but just giving my opinion.

hmm this model does look more agile, hmm i cant exactly pinpoint why but i feel the texture needs more work (yes i am aware the texture is more detailed) i think the main reason there is a conflict of interests is that the second model although better made for rigging is more reminesent of halo 3 than halo 1, i personally apraise this model more thant the first but thats just me
Hmm it's just more modern of a model I think. The shape differs so much from halo that people don't like it. I can see the much better texture though
I also have to agree that the first model just feels like more of that spartanish, halo type design. The new one is great, though I think its alot more flat and kind of like what xero said, more agile. Like the first one looks like he has some muscle and hes actually a futuristic marine, where this one looks a bit like hes some sort of ninja with a jetpack... if you get what I mean =]. Still great model though, I couldnt do anything this good.

This isn't worth bitching about.
Just some suggestions, maybe make his thighs a bit longer. They look directly proportionate with his calves, which is inaccurate. After this, add more length on his lower arm, it should be much longer than his upper arm. He could also use some more muscle, he is a Spartan after all. Again, just some suggestions. It's a great model, I really like the style of it better than the old one, this one looks much more versatile, but the extremities need to be more proportionate.
Thanks. I was really modelling according to the proportions of the old one so it'd still fit on the skeleton. If the animator doesn't mind adjusting everything I'll do it.

Looks better, but suggestion: I'm not for sure if this is a new model too or not, if it isn't I just now noticed it. From the breast plate to the top if the abs look really weird for some reason. I'm thinking it doesn't need to be straight like that or maybe the breast plate sticks out too far.
Just realized, yes its a new model. The backpack battery could use some work, the two small towers in the back should be the same as the original and the helmet too. Everything else is amazing, nice work.
