Solitude (Working Title) is a PSP and PC game using a heavily modified Quake engine, expanding upon the story of Halo: Combat Evolved. I'm all for the new model, I think it looks fantastic (except for the back). However it seems that people overwhelmingly feel that the old model is better. Couldn't you just make a new more detailed texture for the old model?
Not going to happen, one of the problems with the old model was that the skeleton (rig) deformed parts of the model when animated in certain poses It was because of the poly flow in the old model.
That makes sense. I guess it is better to have the new model then. It actually seems to be growing on me.

are you using 3ds max? you should edit the envelopes' vertices then ;)
It's not as simple as that ;)
The way our last Spartan was modelled, the shoulders had a pretty wacky poly flow, that didn't allow the spartan to move his arms in certain directions that we wanted them to move it.
I think you guys should make the pack to be shaped more like the old one and I can't really tell from the pic if I like the legs or not.
Yea, I agree about the pack. The legs look good in the other pictures though.
you should be able to choose what kind of spartan you want.
