Shadow Lore is the first game of our attempted company, Dark Phoenix Software' It is set on the Torque Shader Engine by GarageGames' The game will be a cross of first person shooter and role playing, using the high pace and action of FPS's and the in-depth and independent style of RPG's'
Shadow Lore will have 7 player classes' Each player class will have a special distribution of stats and will come with about 12 or 13 weapons unique to that class' There will also be several weapons which all or most classes can use' Some weapons will be very effective and handy to use while others will be next to pointless, but there just incase you get an urge for it' While all ideas of weapons have not been thought out, there is an estimated total of around 85-90'
There will be 60 monsters, including all bosses, excluding any sort of unique "hidden" creatures or animals' The monsters will be fairly well-known mythical creatures as well as several magical elementals and golems' While this number of monsters sounds very high, this goal is quite reachable since a large portion of the models will be elementals and can be easy made through code, practically no model needed'
The maps will also be quite many in number and very large to boot' The Torque Shader Engine allows for extremely large terrains, and so this will be used' And while this also sounds like a very hard goal to reach, the maps will mostly be set in large forests and can be easily randomly generated, allowing for several maps to be made in very little time but still with very pleasant results'
All in all we feel this game will be quite fun, so long as it is all executed and completed as desired' Armed with the Torque Shader Engine, we have very optimistic veiws on this piece of work and hope we can get your support as well' Here is the story for Shadow Lore: Www'angelfire'com/band2/avi/story'rtf
