Rogue Reborn is a modern port of Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear.
The primary focus of this project is to incorporate all the elements of the original R6RS while upgrading and providing new features without drastically altering the core game-play.
Just to clear up some confusion about climbable surfaces.
The demo was just on a test map with basic surfaces mark with the climbable flag. To climb an object, the player must approach it and hold the action key (space, in this case) till they reach the top of the surface.
The objects realistically should only be about the player's eye height.
The video shows very tall towers all marked with climbable flags and all defined with 1.5s climb times.
This show the versatility of surfaces and how a mapper may create environments where, for example, a wall may be covered with some kind of fence to climb over. It can be of any height.
It looks strange with a 1000ft tower with a climb of 1.5s, but it's just a conceptual demonstration of how it can be applied to anything.
We're not working on models at the moment as we're in a certain development process that is fitting very well for our team. They will come eventually.

Is it going to be Rogue Spear just with better graphics? Or will it have other features that were in the later Rainbow Six series (ability to see your weapon, iron-sights, button/key-grenading, etc)?

Yeah, basically our goal is to re-make Rogue Spear. When an opportunity of improvement presents itself we usually talk to the community first.
Such as stun-grenades. We're going to add the ability to see your weapon.
