In the far future, a small crew flying a supply ship on the frontier of the galaxy are struck by unexpected debris as they pass by a mysterious planet. Suffering catastrophic damage, the ship is forced to crash land on the planet below.
When the survivors wake, they find themselves surrounded by the wreckage of their ship. Their supplies are lost – destroyed or scattered to the wilds. Their food storage is gone, and the ship’s life support section, while intact, has only so much power left.
Their space suit readings indicate that they cannot breathe and survive for long in this atmosphere unprotected, and the ship’s SOS beacon has been destroyed.
Beyond the wreckage, lies a shocking view: a desolate, storm-blasted blackish-red landscape broken up by dilapidated remnants of a long abandoned research facility, with terraformed patches of earth sustained by crumbling buildings and monolithic energy pylons.
They realize that out there lies their hope - their chance of finding resources and supplies to sustain themselves and to repair their Beacon.
Facing the unknown land, the elements, and the sudden howls of alien wildlife in the distance, they set off work together to explore, scavenge, survive, repair the beacon and get their escape from the planet, provided they last long enough to find it.
