Overgrowth takes place in the savage world of Lugaru where rabbits, wolves and other animals are forced to use paws, claws and medieval weaponry to engage each other in battle. Combining 3rd person adventure platforming with intricate melee combat, Overgrowth achieves a unique feel. Overgrowth also benefits from Wolfire's brand new Phoenix Engine which has been built from the ground up to allow the use of cutting edge graphics, animation, and physics. Add to these exciting features Overgrowth’s realistic artificial intelligence and streamlined control system and the result is an astoundingly immersive experience.

Here is an art tutorial video I put together last week. I wanted to try something a little different, showing a more finished concept without cutting down the video or speeding it up too much. That means this is a lot longer than than the other time lapse videos and I'm interested to find out if people find it useful.

Be sure to watch it in HD!

If you liked this video, be sure to subscribe.

For those waiting for the next art asset overview, expect to see extra content in next week's video. Don't forget you can preorder Overgrowth here.

Don't know if you ever watch these comments or anything but do you use some kind of touch screen when you make the pictures (you know, the ones where you can draw with a pen on a touchscreen so it resembles normal drawing) or is it made 100% by mouse/keyboard?

//a tablet, like TDT-Alpha said, my guess is that you use a tablet anyway :P

Aubrey has a neat tablet with a screen on it (forgot what it's called). It looks like an iPad with a pen.

There are many like it. I mean, really, there is actually a plenty of them that function as a tablet and screen alike.

So freaking cool! but dragon could use a little war paint (instead of the tattoo thing).
Will you make a video in real-time, just to show some techniques up close, personally I'm lost when it comes to brushes (so yeah, I go down pretty quick)

Some great work there! I work like you, by first doing a greyscale shading, and color after. Love the result, great work =)
