Overgrowth takes place in the savage world of Lugaru where rabbits, wolves and other animals are forced to use paws, claws and medieval weaponry to engage each other in battle. Combining 3rd person adventure platforming with intricate melee combat, Overgrowth achieves a unique feel. Here is the latest in our new weekly Overgrowth alpha format! David himself took some time to illustrate the traditional changelog in video form.

The features highlighted in the above video are as follows (among some extra ones thrown in for good measure):

- Activated all weapons
- Items have shadows and physics interpolation
- Added Blender weapon animation and attachment posing
- Weapon collision events with sounds pitched based on mass
- Custom convex hulls and centers of mass for weapons
- Expanding convex hulls based on speed to avoid penetration
- Weapons can override character animations
- Fixed plant shader bug
- "No_collision" flag (for collidable plant trunks and non-collidable leaves)
- Custom collision models for objects

Your physx is great but work on that animations because that rabit is still nearly stabing his face with knife

The small weapons doesn't override the animations for the character, but it should be a main priority to have each weapon class to override animations to suit it's attack styles.

Awesome video. Overgrowth is definately getting there. I miss the older
style of the videos done in epic voice overs and needless puns and jokes.
I hope you guys start doing that again, it was unique to your project :P.

Seriously, some of you really want to buy it on Steam ? That's ****. Buy it from their website with Paypal, like I did. Otherwise, they do not get as much monney with Steam.

And for those who don't know. If used wisely, Paypal can be as safe as Steam.

Great stuff. Very impressive.
I for one appreciate the literal mechanic. It fits with the nature of the game. IE, the 1:1 way of doing things.
But does it add or detract from fun? Thats the question.
