Single & Multiplayer First Person Shooter
What would you do for freedom? In Iron Grip: Warlord, the nomadic civilization of Atelia is being swallowed by the massive Confederation. It's a hopeless and tiresome battle; for every enemy Confederate that falls, five more takes their place. Outnumbered and forced to retreat into the heart of cities, a full-out urban warfare has begun that the Atelians will surely lose. As the vestiges of your world crumble and your morale sinks, the only hope for the future is you and your fellow warlords. This is your last stand. This is your freedom. This is your game.

Iron Grip: Warlord has released its new patch today, and we're proud to get it up on ModDB a couple of hours before it hits our other official mirrors. Patch 1.11 fixes the Christmas patch content to be able to be disabled as well as opens an entire new door for mappers by giving them custom map support. This means making a map for Warlord is much, much easier and streamlined - but it's still pretty hard. We're coming up with a tutorial for all would be mappers soon on how to get your hands down and dirty in the Atelian terrain, but for now, it's a do-it-yourself project. If you're experienced in Quake 3 map editors and want to give it a shot, though, this patch basically means you can now upload and host your custom maps with this patch so you're well on your way! Let us know how it works out and if you have any projects you'll be working on.
We have some media coming up for future patches that we thought we'd let you guys in on, to let you guys know what we're working on at Isotx. There's no release date for these concepts, but they're definitely being mulled over in our developer's heads at the moment. Today we're revealing one potential new item that may be added to a future content patch. Like we've said all along, we aim to add more free content and are always thinking of ways to strengthen to the Iron Grip universe with new units, characters, or settings.

Above is the Atelian Propaganda Radio. As you know, Warlord is won and lost by morale - and what better way to strengthen morale than propaganda? In theory, this would be a purchasable item, that once tossed in the map, will start playing Atelian propaganda and provide a bonus income. There would be an extra bonus for every civilian within the radius. However, the piece would come at a cost by being able to attract unwanted attention - the Confederate free roamers will be hunting the radio at any chance they get!
In another news update, I'll have even more to show you.
Here's some new Iron Grip: Warlord screenshots. There's some more in the gallery, and more on our website.
One last reminder about our contest! We're taking submissions of FAN VIDEOS for Iron Grip: Warlord. The Grand Prize winner receives 4 free copies of Warlord. The videos, which could range from a 20 second rickroll to a ten hour documentary on Warlord (kidding, kidding), are meant to be fun and something for the community to enjoy. Click here for more information.
Also a quick shout out to XFire for adding Warlord support! If you use XFire and play Warlord, they're now compatible and it will show in your profile. We hope to see more fans installing XFire and building our presense there, it's a really awesome program and we're excited to get support with them.

Sweet, always great to see more content and bug fixes. :)
That can also turn into an interesting game mode. The first Call Of Duty had a game mode called 'Radio'. That could be played also with one players team vs. an AI team ...
"Patch 1.11 fixes the Christmas patch content to be disabled"
Does that mean there was a bug in disabling the Christmas content which this patch fixes, or that this patch makes using the content impossible? If the latter, I'm not sure whether I want to install the patch, or my son will be highly disappointed... He loves the Santas and nutcrackers (and so do I, tbh ;) ...
You can still use the Christmas content. There was a problem with switching between Christmas and default content, thats what the Patch fixes.
Ah, cool, then I can stop worrying... ;)
Great game btw! Love the gameplay, level design and atmosphere... And nice wide streets for practicing my strafe jumping, too... :)
Been waiting for this patch ^^ good work there
Nice update, guys. The radio is a sweet idea, can't wait to see how it'll turn out! :D
