The game you are trying to view has ceased development and consequently been archived. If you are a member of this game, can demonstrate that it is being actively developed and will be able to keep this profile up to date with the latest news, images, videos and downloads, please contact us with all details and we will consider its re-activation.
In depth story:
Experience the conflict between loyalty, morality and comradeship in a world where right and wrong don't exist. When a man can't tell what he is fighting for any more, what keeps him going?
4-Player Co-operative Play
The player can play through the campaign as one of 4 indepth characters, each with their own unique backstory, relationships, and specialisations. With the ability to take the battle online, you can play through the game with your friends or by yourself.
Dynamic Gameplay:
That useful piece of cover might not exist next reply. You can't count on that ammo depot being there twice in a row. You can prepare yourself for an infantry patrol like last time, but what if a tank spawns instead? You can't depend on one round playing out the same way.
Customisation:
Both the players equipment, skillset/weapon specialisations and look can be developed and customised in game so that the player's character is suited to their playstyle and preferences.

Hey there, followers of The Increment.
Unfortunately, the tone of this post is not positive, but we think it’s in everyone’s best interests to be perfectly open and clear on this issue, seeing as opinions of the project so far are obviously largely based on our released media.
We’ve recently learnt that certain assets in our build were taken illegally from other sources, or “ripped” as it’s more commonly known. At present we’re not sure as to the exact extent of this issue, which is why we’ve taken steps to remove any and all potentially ripped assets from our build whilst we investigate.
As for how this came about, we place full trust in our developers and expect them to follow both internal guidelines and basic development ethics. Regrettably in this case, this trust was breached. To prevent this situation from happening in the future, we’re now looking into implementing a more robust artist review process within the team.
For the time being, we’ll be minimising our PR output. Development will continue onwards at a steady pace, but we want to be 100% sure that what we’re presenting is our team’s work. We’ll be sure to let you guys know once we’re back!
Edit:
One small addition to the above - we've changed our ModDB URL from:
Moddb.com
to
Moddb.com
Just so you're aware and can update any bookmarks/saved links you have with us on. :)
As i've been e-mailed/messaged quite a bit over this since we declared the project closed...
Theres going to be a post mortem news article on it at some point on Crydev/moddb, when i've got other plans out of the way. Means that others can learn from the mistakes we made hopefully. :))
There are other projects still being developed - INK is still developing Crymono (C#) and i'm currently building up my own skill set, primarily focusing on organic modelling and animation, for a new project being launched in a few months showcasing CryEngine3's technology.
The games ceased development?
I think this sums my reaction
Youtube.com
Saw it over at Crydev the locked thread, but seeing the red message up there, much worse.
Will it be said what has happened? The stolen content a few weeks back was not good to hear, it did not result in this, or a different matter?
We've suspended development of The Increment for the moment, but will continue to evaluate the decision.
In summary, the 'core' Increment developers have an very restricted amount of time available to dedicate for the project, making it hard to continue development.
I've been following this mod/game silently for awhile now. It sounds like its not gonna make it out the door now. Shame, really.
Theres no risk of us not making it out the door, a lot of progress has been made elsewhere, which we'll go into at a later date. Technically speaking, we're better off than before. :)
We're still working hard on the project and will definitely not let this stop us. We'll simply pause PR announcements for a while, and come back much better than we were before!
looks great- can't wait to play, voted
Looks cool voted :D
Really nice visuals :)
Thanks Ammoseller - your support means a lot! :)
