The first playable characters in the game will be completely original, so no Hornblower in the short term, at least. However, we might consider optional downloads with well-known characters and ships from films and books at a later stage in development.

There won't be anything to stop you from creating a character that looks like Hornblower, and is named Hornblower, in the early stages. There just won't be a storyline attached that matches the books.

Jack, Timothy, Jonathan, Guybrush.. Wait GUYBRUSH? THREEPWOOD:D I am soo going to play him!:D

But I agree with Gervaise we're going to look in that menu quite a lot of times so structured and clear information is the way to go! Although when looking at the inventory some pictures of the goods are always welcome:)

Looks quite nice.
Overview and menu are most important.

And needless to say that the crew is quite colorful.

Care to elaborate? The idea was to get it to look like a period ship's log, and we feel that it has succeeded beautifully.

That's a good idea, but I just think it needs 'more', I couldn't imagine having to look at the menu for too long at least, it's only three different colors, straight lines, and text. This is certainly a solid foundation for a menu, but I would grunge it up a little, add varying tones to the otherwise single shade paper color, I mean, it's not like a ship's log could have always been in perfect shape.

Ah. That shouldn't be too hard then. That's only the rough draft, so to speak, so the final should look much more detailed.

Under the tab Men are all the crew members listed?
Will they be lookable at for example what their best skills is so you can distrubute them better over the ship?
