Pick up the crowbar of research scientist Gordon Freeman, who finds himself on an alien-infested Earth being picked to the bone, its resources depleted, its populace dwindling. Freeman is thrust into the unenviable role of rescuing the world from the wrong he unleashed back at Black Mesa. And a lot of people, people he cares about, are counting on him.

Seem good so far but I seem to have one problem. I usuaully like stopping in the middile of tuturials and going back to them. Unfortunately this tuturial does not let me click further on into the video. Any idea why or how to fix this? :S

I signed up for mod DB just to say nice tutorial man also if you are going to make a beginners tutorial could you show us how to make a low poly player model and skin it? Also the voice in the tutorial was good, most people don't bother and it makes their tutorials rather boring to watch. Also it would be nice if you could go a bit more into the skinning process in the next tut.

Well, you need to have normal knowledge within modeling, gfx (textures etc.), and programming to get a mod done. Mapping is also a factor.

Nice man. I use Blender however, but some looking around in blender got me to find how to "Unwrap" it and save the lay out. I think 3d Max will flatten them alot better, but I'm not sure.

Great tutorial, thanks alot!

I know comments are to be constructive, but not rude like that, as maybe mentioned before it were my first video. And if you're not a skinner how can you be 500% better than me? I dont use this techique normally, I sew the vertices in the UVW editor and get smooth transitions. This was for the people who didnt know anything to get the mighty idea on how to do and get started.

So please.. if you dont mind, show me your skills.
