You are sent to war-torn Africa to assassinate The Jackal, a mysterious arms dealer who has rekindled conflict between local warlords, jeopardizing thousands of lives. In order to fulfil your mission you will have to play the warring factions against each other, identify and exploit their weaknesses, and neutralize their superior numbers with surprise, subversion, cunning and, of course, brute force.

A platform in the sky, with one sniper place in the middle. You can nearly everywhere take cover if you come under fire, but you must be fast and react quickly. If you don´t watch out you´ll fall of the platform an die. The map supports Deathmatch and Team-Deathmatch, 8-12 players.I made this map for the Far Cry 2 Level Design Contest. This map is for the "What the..?! Award".

well made. a fair amount of cover as well. i would suggest if making anything like this again to simply cut the bottom of the map off with fog, or maybe a black sand hole to give it more of a storyline as to why its in the sky.

LOL! 1 download....5 votes, come on people, at least test the map before voting.
I quite liked this, I mean it's far from brilliant, but for a simple yet effective design, I think this is pretty good. It may be something that can be pulled off in less than an hour, but that doesn't mean squat if the map is any good, and I think this is pretty good and has alot of potential to be a fun map.

Good job mate, I would suggest that you spend more time on it, spruce it up some more, make it really unique in it's design.

I agree with Otreum, and for everyone out there never judge a map on how simple or boring it looks. People make stupid assumptions of maps that are actually really good, (not saying anybody in this post has) and for all you know it could be the best map out there. So judge it on how it plays, how it feels, how well its detailed and all of that stuff. Kind of like never judge a book by its cover. This map Defiantly was origional, hell it might even be fun for a whole server to play on, it could get really intense. :) Anyways, original idea, overall good map.

hear here! (whichever it is) in fact, simplistic maps are often the funnest!

the picture is simple, but it shows tremendous potential! when it becomes more developed and involved, i will check it out and give it a real rating. till then, it looks like it has a lot of potential to be a real fun map. toss in a dune buggy for ***** and giggles! :D

Dune buggy would be great on a sky based map :)
It would basically be the sweeper, however they get destroyed so easily.

Anyway, just thought i'd add another 2 cents about simplistic maps.

I never really got into CS games, it never really held my attention, however I do remember that some of the most played maps were things like fy_ice or whatever it was called and all of those maps where there were little bits of cover with random guns laying about and you all spawn with knives only and have to seek out a weapon until the last man was standing basically.
Simplistic in design, simplistic in gameplay, yet extremely fun to many gamers.

Maybe duplicate the platform -the objects etc. And flip it to cover the bottom so when you fall you can't see through it.

But hey that's just me.

I agree that the big maps are not always the best and and small maps are almost always the funniest.

Lol, in a way. I was going to attempt that cradle map, but the resources arent really there to make it any good.

All in all a pretty cool map. The cover is well placed, although a good bit of it is too low to really help, but I guess that helps with the sight lines too.

If you were to re-do the map, I would duplicate the sidewalks and turn them upside-down, then put them inside the orignals so players that fall off the map don't see through the bottoms.
