GOLDENEYE_FACILITY - by Aaron 'Razorb' Foster Nostalgia Award This is the second map i have made for moddb's Far Cry 2 Map Making Competition! and it is for the Nostalgia Award. It supports Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Diamond. Yea this map was alot of fun to make! playing the old Facility map again and adapting the gameplay for Far Cry 2 funfunfun! heh took over a week to make as i was working alot of hours at work :( so i didnt get as much time to work on it as i wanted! anyway hope you all enjoy it! Good indeed, but doesn't really feel like the GE facility map. The first thing I think of is the bathroom with the little vents, and there is nothing like that here. Regardless nicely done level.

yea i tried ... but it got really messy and ugly so it wasn't worth it.. as that section in the original goldeneye wasnt used in mp... i know u could do a stupid bug trick to get up there.. but was no point :) so i cut it out as i couldn't see it adding to the gameplay...

i once sketched an entire remixed blueprint of the facility level, before the days of perfect dark, to include a complete working ventilation system that dispearsed about the entire facility. and by "entire" i mean to include the single player areas, and dam. however, i did not sketch the dam, i just made a tiny side note with the ventilation blueprints to where the dam access was.

doing that in a REAL editor would be one thing, but in this WYSIWYG editor, it would be impossible.

I am officially changing my stance on this level after some nostalgic enlightening Goldeneye multiplay. This map is very well done, I like it. One thing though; you can play in the vents [in GE64](there is a spawn point up there), I do however agree that there is no tactical advantage of using that area so it's fine as it is, just a little less nostalgic. :P
