Equestrian Terrors is a MLP:FIM themed survival horror game. It's planned to be episodic, with each episode being a self-contained story that does not follow any linked main story line. The game will be heavily focused on escaping rather than combat, however there will be instances where you can slow down and impede enemies as you attempt to do so.

We've got a brand new addition to the dev team, and he's got some pretty cool work to show us! I'm happy to announce Sleufoot2010 will be joining us to do additional music and sound work. We got some examples of his work right here:

While the extended versions of these tracks may or may not make it into the final game, I can tell he's definitely going to be a fantastic addition to the team!
Also be sure to check out his deviantArt here, he's got some pretty cool stuff:

In other news, if all goes as planned we'll be throwing a media update at you guys by the end of today or tomorrow. Visit our Tumblr for other small updates I'm keeping from ya!

P.S. We also have an alternate trailer by TheOneKing you can check out in the videos section.
Like it so far, make it darker and add a flashlight thing. Make the flashlight somehow like Slender The Arrival, but a hoof holding it instead.
Nah, you play as Twilight in this first one, so you'll get a purple flashlight. Self-explanatory.
I really liked Slender: The Arrival, but this project is going to be pretty different. Like I said, it's leaning more towards Amnesia. They both have that whole "no weapons" thing going on, but the difference is that Amnesia is more linear since the monsters are more strictly scripted rather than appearing in random places. I think this allows for more elaborate scares and scripted sequences, as well as allowing us to put puzzles and other such things along the player's path.
Thanks for the input!
Will there be custom hoof sounds? I would track this game.
Heh, of course! I think it'd be pretty silly if we didn't!
Clever Equine actually already has an Amnesia mod that does just that. I moved over those sounds to UDK already.
We'll end up redoing all the sounds for metal, carpet, wood, etc., but Clever Equine's sounds are the placeholders in-game right now.
Glad you're interested in the game!
Can't wait for the release!
Maybe I'll let's play it when its released.
Any plans when it will be?
Some time in Fall should give us enough time to finish this first chapter. Still got lots of work to do!
Also, one last suggestion:
Make the interaction with stuff be like Amnesia. Opening doors, carrying chairs, making barricades. Also add sounds for the enemy to warn you of it's presence.
Can you hide from it?
When I say this game is going to borrow a lot from Amnesia, I mean a lot of the cool stuff like that. You will be able to lift objects with Twilight's magic, however you will not be able to do any real damage to your pursuer. You will only be able to do things to slow her down such as making barricades like you mentioned. Hiding is also an option, however we're going to try to keep it varied so there's no convenient hiding closet in every room.
Also, don't add cheap scares like random pointless Pinkie appearances, or any cheap ones.
Haha, those are on their way, trust me. I didn't forget. Honest!
