Serious Sam: The Retro Encounter is a fan made, freeware DooM mod that aims to recreate Serious Sam's gameplay and provide a balanced multiplayer and an unique Serious Sam style campaign. SS:TRE was made by Batandy and Duke_Nume in 2011, originally just as a tribute to the nearly-teased Serious Sam 3 Trailer.
