I could see some strong comments on the MOD friendly and I thank you all for your attention to this project.
And then I remembered one of these comments saying that it would improve overall design and give the MOD a more cartoony side.
However, when I decided to start this project, it was very clear that I intended to add my personal touch and realism. In fact I intend to use the full potential of visual CryEngine serving the visual style of the original game.
The hardest thing is to respect the colors, it seemed logical that the first thing to settle is the TOD. This is undoubtedly the most capable tool to help adjust the color and visual atmosphere.
In terms of modeling objects, as you can see in the video that follows this article, I tried to adhere to the usual style of the series while adding a more realistic side, and especially more detailed.
So I finally decided to find a compromise between the usual style of play and realistic side that can be achieved through the engine.
i really like it, I think you are right about the colour thing, the realism is fine but the colour is what makes it crash
looks awesome :D
i can't wait, please keep working on it >:)
For me, the boxes are just perfect =D
Thank you very much :)
Crates forever!
Thanks :D
I try to respect the style of the original game. It's not easy, but it's very interesting!
This is probably the most exciting and original idea for a mod I've seen in a long time - kudos to you sir!
its not a mod
What is it then?
Only boxes with C and ? look kind of weird to me, tho I dont know why exactly...
I think i was the one saying that in comments of first screenshot, but i love the current style after all when i saw other screenshots, with colorful stones and everything...
